Jake Brown was attempting a 720-degree jump during ESPN’s corporate-created X-Games. Although he made the clearance, trouble arose on the back end, when Jones went up in one direction, and his board went the other way.

On the way down, Jones hit the ramp with such force that his shoes literally flew off his feet. Yet after a few motionless minutes, Jones was able to get up and walk away under his own power.

Surprised by Brown’s fortitude, an ESPN commentator noted, “I feel like I’m watching an episode of ‘Heroes’.” We’re sure the Disney overlords love the mention of an NBC show, when there are so many quality ABC programs he could have referenced instead, like “Lost” or “Ugly Betty”.
