WV Interim Coach Bill Stewart Hired On Full Time

After overseeing the dismantling of Oklahoma last night, the CHARLESTON (WV) DAILY MAIL reports today that West Virginia University will hire interim coach Bill Stewart as its full time football coach - replacing the departed Rich Rodriguez.

Bill Stewart New West Virginia Football Coach

Daily Mail: “He’s been a head coach just once before and was 8-25 from 1994-96 at Virginia Military Institute.”

Sounds like the Mounties might be rushing into this thing a smidge.

WVU will make the announcement at an 11am ET press conference today. To be honest, West Virginia football doesn’t excite us that much (like the pallid procession of meaningless bowl games the last two days), but if the Mountaineers think Stewart can keep the couch-torching locals at bay, we’ll trust their judgement.
