The gaggle of Zakk Wylde and John Mayer wannabes - 1,680 strong - performed Deep Purple’s classic “Smoke On The Water” at CommunityAmerica Ballpark, home of the Northern League’s Kansas City T-Bones.
The gathering organized by local radio station KYYS broke the old record of 1,323 strummers set back in 1994.
