A woman who was involved in the infamous Pacman Jones Las Vegas nightclub fight has been found dead in New York.
The LAS VEGAS REVIEW JOURNAL reports that police discovered the body of Sadia Morrison last week after she apparently fell off an apartment building in the Bronx. Morrison was declared dead at the scene.
During the melee at the Minxx Gentlemen’s Club back on February 2007, Morrison had been accused of “fighting with strippers inside the club and of striking a security guard, Aaron Cudworth, with a champagne bottle“. After agreeing to a plea bargain, she was sentenced to three years probation.
Medical examiners have not yet ruled Morrison’s death a homicide or an accident. But Sadia’s 25-year-old brother, Paul Morrison, believes his sister was a victim of murder:
He spoke with the New York medical examiners when he had to identify his sister’s remains. Morrison said his sister had two head injuries: one from hitting a satellite dish while falling and another that he thinks was caused by an assailant.
Friends & family of Sadia also believe she was purposely pushed off the top of the building. New York City police say they are still investigating the incident.
There might be concerns that Morrison’s death may be connected to the upcoming trial of Arvin Edwards, who’s been accused of a shooting during the Vegas fight that left bouncer Tommy Urbanski paralyzed.
But both Paul Morrison & Clark County District Attorney David Roger believe that Sadia’s death is unconnected. Roger comments that Sadia was “inside the club at the time of the shooting and was not a witness to it.”
Either way, it’s still a sad story - and one more reason for Adam Jones to drop his “Pacman” past.
