A male fan wearing a LeBron James Miami Heat jersey was ejected from a Cleveland Indians baseball game last night at Jacobs Field.
A reader to sportsbybrooks.com was at the game and sent in this account of what happened:
A guy walked into the bleacher seats wearing a LeBron James Miami Heat Jersey. He was booed violently, and by the fifth Inning, people were throwing peanuts and beer cups at him.
That’s when police escorted him out of the section. While walking down the stairs, a guy knocked the beer cup out of his hand, and started swearing at him. By the end of the row, a fat guy in a green shirt (who was previously flicking him off), got up in his face. The police had to restrain him from attacking the Yankees & Indians fans who were booing him.
His girlfriend, who had been flicking people off and swearing was shoved to the ground by a guy in a grey shirt. She started crying, and also had to be restrained.
The police officers who escorted him out, got a standing ovation from the entire bleacher section.
Video of the incident below:
I wouldn’t be surprised if the Heat didn’t step in and offer a consolation prize to the fan in order to engender some sort of positive public reaction.
Protip to Heat p.r.: Don’t offer Marlins tickets.

They say misery loves company. So all the miserable gather in Jacobs Field together.
Meanwhile, flash forward to greener pastures. Lebron is in Vegas hosting parties at Tao, raising money for charity, and living the good life. Best decision he has ever made.
Keep on, keepin’ on Clevelend.
9:52 am on July 29th, 2010
Mistake by the Lake…hell hath no fury like a lame city scorned.
10:03 am on July 29th, 2010
Setting the fact that Cleveland sucks for a moment, WTH was this guy thinking? He would have been as well received if he’d worn a sheet to an NAACP conference.
10:14 am on July 29th, 2010
Cleveland is once again showing they have no class. LeBron wants to win titles and Classless Cleveland was not his best option. If the fans want to be angry, be angry with the Cavs organization for not bringing in the support Lebron needed to win.
keep living the dream of it’ll be our year next year Cleveland!
10:15 am on July 29th, 2010
Would it have been safer to wear a Steelers jersey?
Just asking!
10:22 am on July 29th, 2010
so what reaction would have been more appropriate? you guys are so self righteous. That part above about Lebron raising money for charity made me laugh. Thanks for that!
10:40 am on July 29th, 2010
Who pushes a girl? Fucking pussy.
10:42 am on July 29th, 2010
Keep in mind this was a game against New York, so there were a ton of bandwagon Yankees fans in attendance - and they too were heckling the douchenozzle. (Yes, even those troglodytes knew how ill-advised this was.)
Just sayin’.
10:42 am on July 29th, 2010
Cleveland, their local media, the Cavs owner, and their fan base has gone way over the line and showing no end in sight. Used to feel really bad for them for losing Lebron, but they are clearly showing that he made the right choice and sending a hell of a message to any oher player who might think of signing to play in that city. Only way they get anyone that is a star is to severely overpay. Don’t get me wrong, as the fan wearing the Heat shirt took a hell of a chance, but I am aure that there are alot of Lebron fans in Cleveland who appreciate what he did for the team and the economy of the city and will not turn their back on him.
10:44 am on July 29th, 2010
It’s unfortunate but the guy knew exactly what he was doing by deciding to wear that jersey to the game. He’s an idiot and the fans are pathetic.
10:46 am on July 29th, 2010
Typical Cleveland. That’s why you’re…Cleveland
10:49 am on July 29th, 2010
It appears that some people in that stadium have shown just how selfish and ungrateful they can be. Lebron James put that entire city on the map and for reasons unknown the Cavs organization did not acquire the necessary talent to take the franchise to the Finals. Bottom line is James is an athlete who worked hard to get to where he is and he spent 7 seasons with them and now that he chose to go to a team who is willing and able to do what no team has done for a while some of the people in Cleveland are acting like spoiled kids. I don’t agree with the kid inciting the fans but the fans clearly couldn’t conduct themselves appropriately. The United States is a free country and people can wear what they want so people get a grip and tune your head right. Lets face it it makes no sense to argue about overpaid athletes who make more money then a fraction of an entire city…
11:01 am on July 29th, 2010
people in Cleveland are haters, lebron left, and they are all still there, left in that miserable place some would call a city,…cleveland was somebody for 7 years and now theyre back to being no ones again.
But it was dumb to wear that shirt, there he wanted a reaction and he got one
11:18 am on July 29th, 2010
I don’t get it…why was he removed?
11:30 am on July 29th, 2010
If this incident occurred in Philly, Beantown or even NY, this guy would have gotten a beating…only because Cleveland is so damn lame that he was able to walk out..
11:35 am on July 29th, 2010
What a douche.
11:50 am on July 29th, 2010
Stay classy, Cleveland…
11:57 am on July 29th, 2010
Jokes on the fans, I’m sure the guy got moved to better seats for his safety.
12:00 pm on July 29th, 2010
Wow, this is truly an example of douchenozzle on douchebag crime. I have no sympathy for the jersey-wearer, who was just looking to instigate, or the classless fans who berated him.
“Fun times in Cleveland today!”
12:05 pm on July 29th, 2010
Lakers fans are soo much better. They just burn cars when they win the Championship. Just think what they would if Kobe left…..Hmm. What about the fan in Philly who vomited on a little girl? What about the players that jumped on the fans? It wasn’t even a playoff game, on Dec 25,2009 and the Lakers fan threw foam fingers and various items at the Cavs players on the floor. Bad Cavs fans, shame on you, should have stomped him.
12:06 pm on July 29th, 2010
Disgraceful ……….. a cracker trying to be a nigga.
I’m just a reverse Orio cookie, white on the outside and black in the inside. :/
12:11 pm on July 29th, 2010
Should the fan be allowed to wear this jersey to the game, of course.
Should fans be allowed to show displeasure over someone wearing that jersey? Sure, why not. Seems to happens all the time to visiting fans in opposing stadiums. Doesn’t make it right, just saying …
I’m sure the guy wasn’t “ejected,” just moved for his own safety. Come on, right or not, the guy should have known what to expect. He wasn’t going to be applauded …
12:19 pm on July 29th, 2010
I hate baseball… Baseball just plain old sucks and the fans prove it.
12:20 pm on July 29th, 2010
What a joke!!!!! I love all fair weather fans, we have on here. What happened to “He is overrated” , that all of you were saying when Lebron was kicking your teams a@@es. You had nothing good to say about him, but now he is the second coming. You idiots with your tired a@@ sayings and expressions. “Cleveland …… get over it.” , “stay classy Cleveland” I am over it (like when he quit on the team in Boston, I don’t like quitters. I was over him then, but I am not over the way you idiots talk about my hometown and the fans. We are just as passionate as you are. Most of you have never been to Cleveland, just so you know, we don’t want you shallow a@@es no way. So get over that!!!!!
12:24 pm on July 29th, 2010
Wow, I used to pity them, losing the one great player ever to grace the shithole they call home… But after this F-them right in the A, beating up women and having someone ejected from a game just for a jersey? Have fun never winning a championship douchebags, Cleveland is curesed for good, enjoy it.
12:28 pm on July 29th, 2010
This used to be America. Have we become a nation of gangbangers? What ever happened to freedom of choice and freedom of expression? Cleveland should be ashamed of its self. Violence begets violence and those who live by the sword die by the sword.
12:28 pm on July 29th, 2010
This just goes to show that Cleveland is a disappointment all around. All their teams are hoirrble. There has been no championships won is years. This is just another way for the fans to think that they have to bully people. SO what if he is wearing a miami Lebron jersey. Was lebron the savior of the city, Did he part Lake erie like moses and the red sea? I mean come on, he is one player. You should not pushed people especially a women,. Why was it not reported that the assualting fans where not taking into custody for hitting the lady? Cleveland is broke they have lost jobs and now thier fans have to find some glimmer of hope by beating people up. Wow Cleveland I guess is the best cities in the country isn’t it
12:29 pm on July 29th, 2010
it’s CLEVELAND what else can you expect.
12:40 pm on July 29th, 2010
If you show up at any game, in any city, with the sole purpose of acting like an asshole, dont be suprised when you are treated like an asshole.
12:40 pm on July 29th, 2010
what a set of jokers
12:41 pm on July 29th, 2010
You self righteous pieces of dung. Screw you. You would have done the same thing. How do know that she was a lady? I was there she hit first….dumn a@@.
12:42 pm on July 29th, 2010
This is how lame this is. Security gave the fans all that time to give that idiot a beatdown but all the fans did was yell, curse, throw stuff and push his girlfriend down. Freakin WEAK fans! Any other stadium and he would have gotten his ass kicked, then escorted out by security. He wore the shirt to instigate! Sorry cleveland but that was Sorry!
12:42 pm on July 29th, 2010
true steve i agree they should have locked then up ,remember the ron artest incedent,,the police are jokers too
12:45 pm on July 29th, 2010
I think this shows a lot of pride in the people of Cleveland. It might not be the smartest way to act out as a crowd, but there is a general sentiment in the area which is a distaste for LeBron, the Heat, and espn. There are yankee fans in the video. I’ve been to games and sat next to red sox fans, or patriot fans at a football game and nothing has gone down. The classless one is the idiot with the Heat jersey knowing full well he is walking into a mob scene.
12:48 pm on July 29th, 2010
What is going on here? I understand that the fan was removed for his own safety but why weren’t the fans who pelted him with beer and peanuts as well as the fan who knocked the girlfriend down arrested and charged with a crime? Were the alleged cops afraid of the mob-like cleveland fans LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
12:50 pm on July 29th, 2010
Last time I checked, people who pay for tickets to a Major League Baseball game have the right to wear whatever sports jerseys they WANT to wear. The fans in Cleveland are lucky anyone even wants to continue PAYING to see the Indians — or the Cavs and Browns for that matter — play at ALL. Escorting the fan with the Miami/Lebron jersey out of the stands is a cowardly reaction on the part of stadium personnel.
12:55 pm on July 29th, 2010
a man has the right to whatever he wants to wear and including a jersey to a baseball game, these people had no right to throw things at him, curse him even assault his girlfriend and what did the sad ass ploice do about that, not a dam thing, sorry ass cleveland people, grow up let lebron go, shit, if you had a chance to change jobs to better yourself you would leave to, so shut the hell up,
12:58 pm on July 29th, 2010
Was a dumb shit, wearing that to an Indians game, he’s one lucky fuck that he didn’t get his ass whooped on. Yes he has the right to wear that jersey, but the fans had all the rights in the world to do what they did. Had this been any other city in the situation that Cleveland is in, the same thing or worse could’ve happened. Nobody can play the high and mighty “oh Cleveland is just lame and immature” card, if you do, you are so mistaken. And FYI, its not because of LeBron leaving that everyone hates, its the way he did it. It seems like none of the dumbasses that hate on Cleveland can get that through their thick, naive skulls.
1:00 pm on July 29th, 2010
You go Cleveland fans. Show everyone LBJ traitor wear will not be tolerated with at Cleveland games. He was so stupid wearing that jersey there. He knew what he was getting into. Oh and for everyone I’m not in Cleveland but in New York and a 40 year Cavs fan.
1:07 pm on July 29th, 2010
They probably just moved him to better seats for having the balls to wear that. i hate lebron, but that guy earns my respect.
1:13 pm on July 29th, 2010
if we were a bunch of savages, we’d have eaten his ass. but since we’re not, u have 2 b a cleveland fan 2 unnastand tha shyt we go thru, king lames decision speekz directly 2 dat+ he wont win a ring(cleveland curse) n that guy n his gyrl should’ve got da shyt jumped out of em, jus sayn!!! $#$# LBJ n tha heet..
1:16 pm on July 29th, 2010
Your source at the game is wrong and/or lying.
The girl did NOT get pushed to the ground, she was wrestled there by the cops. She ran after a guy in the stands and attacked him.
1:17 pm on July 29th, 2010
Successful troll is successful.
I may try doing this, just for teh lulz.
1:20 pm on July 29th, 2010
HAHA! love it! Cleveland fans are the best!!! he deserves to get kicked out… what a dumbass!
1:22 pm on July 29th, 2010
Cleveland fans are punks. Now i understand why LeBron left the idiot city. No class Cleveland people. The people that threw things at them should have been arrested, especially for assaulting his girlfriend. Apparently the cops in cleveland are also punks. I hope he contacts those 2 and gives them a signed baketball. Cleveland, YOUR IDIOTS.
1:22 pm on July 29th, 2010
Oh, and just to put this out there: Anyone who is taking that guy with the jersey at face value is a dumbass.
I love how easily trolled you people are. It entertains me. I’m sure 4chan would love you people.
1:24 pm on July 29th, 2010
..this is not a normal circumstance people….. Does everyone forget how Lebron left Cleveland!?… A VERY UNCLASSY ACT!!……just like this kid…. he was just ASKING for trouble!!! someone should have beat his ass!!

Only thing Cleveland has is LeBron’s mom & Donte’…
1:42 pm on July 29th, 2010
Nobody has the right to kick out this fan, Grow up Cleveland. I hope the guy files a law suit. the police should have escorted the fans who were throwing stuff.
1:46 pm on July 29th, 2010
THE HEART OF clevland is as dark as the river that runs away from it!
I refuse to even waist a capitol letter to spell it.
You may ask how can i be this jaded at 14 yrs.
well i lived there for 9 of them.
thats 9 crappy seasons.
1:48 pm on July 29th, 2010
oh you poor Cleveland fans…they all hate MIami..poor them…our sorry a$$ Marlins beat your Indians for our first WS ring…we are taking your best colleigate FB athletes…and now we got LeBron….well, just to let you know, we also have a night life you can only dream about, beaches you only seen on the travel channel, and our women don’t look like men like they do in Cleveland (maybe that is why the girl was hit)…you all have two options..Option A- move to Miami (but don’t tell us youare from Cleveland), Option B- Kill yourself…
1:57 pm on July 29th, 2010
Its fitting that lebron is the face of a league that nobody watches that is losing almost half a billion dollars per year. NFL coming up, who cares about The Three Tools in Miami anyway?
1:58 pm on July 29th, 2010
I love people who hate on Cleveland…..We do not give a sh*t what you people think. Yeah we are pissed about Lebron. Sorry we show it. all you guys can crawl up Lebum’s a$$ you can have him and his no show preformaces. Everyone says the Cavs failed to get talent around him…..R u serious? James had a say in every player that came here so it is what it is. He is a Pu$$y glad he went to Miami. Miami is a place for people who can’t handle the heat in Cleveland….As we say in Cleveland….Modell still sucks but Lebron swallows.
1:59 pm on July 29th, 2010
Big suprise he’s a wigger
2:03 pm on July 29th, 2010
Amazing. They throw out the guy because he was wearing a Miami Heat Jersey, but those that started throwing things got to stay. No wonder Clevcland is a loser city. Wait till Miami plays them. Cleveland would do well to just forfeit the game. It is a pathetic excuse for behavior. I wonder if it also had something to do with the Yankees kicking their buts last night.
2:13 pm on July 29th, 2010
“..this is not a normal circumstance people….. Does everyone forget how Lebron left Cleveland!?… A VERY UNCLASSY ACT!!……just like this kid…. he was just ASKING for trouble!!! someone should have beat his ass!!”
There is a good example of ignorance. Jeff grow up. They are professional ball players that go where the money is and where they will win. Cleveland will never win with what they have. This kid likes the heat and you want to beat him up for it. No wonder James left. I would too. I hope he gets a lawyer and sues the Indians, the city, and the police force. He is going to be one rich dude and your tax dollars are going to pay for it.
2:20 pm on July 29th, 2010
This is a free country as far as I can tell, so I cannot understand why this guy was even removed from the stadium for wearing a jersey — regardless of the jersey — in violation of his free speech right. Regardless of his ill decision to wear the darn thing, he was in his entire right to do so as guarateed by the Constitution. That’s why we have laws. Had someone hit him or touched him, the police could have arrested them.
As for Cleveland… well, I guess the video shows it all.
2:41 pm on July 29th, 2010
What you Aye-holes aren’t understanding is they ejected him for his safety. Had they let him stay it would have gotten uglier and uglier. And from what I have heard he was jacked once he left the stadium. The man that slammed his weak a$$ was arrested. Long live C-Town.
2:46 pm on July 29th, 2010
“Its fitting that lebron is the face of a league that nobody watches that is losing almost half a billion dollars per year. NFL coming up, who cares about The Three Tools in Miami anyway?” = an angry cavz fan who will no longer watch the Nba because Lebron james left your city lol grow up chump.. cleveland was nothing without lebron bring they drafted him and their nothing without him after he left.. so long to being on Nba.com, Epsn.com, and TNT lol dont worry yall will still be in the playoffs as the 8th seed vs the 1st seeded heat fans… Nevertheless… The lakers will 3 peat… n imma laker fan jus telling the truth
2:48 pm on July 29th, 2010
At least Cleveland fans care. After the Heat dont win a championship for the 2nd year in a row the arena will be empty. Fairweather fans, they have shown it with the Heat and the Marlins. They seem to be somewhat faithfull to the Dolphins. Forgot how “classy” Miami is. Is it the 1st or 2nd most dangerous city in the country this year?
2:48 pm on July 29th, 2010

This is a sad!!! Class-LESS and shows just how much america has fallen in respecting other peoples right to wear what they want wherever they want. So what Lebron left the team, FIND ANOTHER PLAYER OR PLAYERS TO REPLACE HIS ASS!!! You Cleveland fans weren’t complaining with Ehlo and those other losers were not winning you championships. GET OVER IT!!!

Obviously none of you half wit haters have ever lived in ohio and sayin we never helped Lebitch is compelty absurd Jamison,O’Neal,Williams,Hughes,West,Scerzibak,Wallace and many others came to this to help that selfish MoFo win but he never ever wanted to win here he just wanted to his bitchy ass boyfriends. He better win those 8 championships for you people in Miami cause all Cleveland will need is one championship.
Also Cleveland fans are sick of people treating us like dirt and that jackass that was wearing that jersey just wanted to start shit as you could see clear as fuckiing day he popping the jersey all around. He’s the moron Cleveland is not we will move on and we will rise above.

Those dirt bag fans deserve weak a#% teams. My only problem with LeBron is that he didn’t leave sooner!
3:49 pm on July 29th, 2010
Cleveland Police should not have removed that punk that was there to do nothing but instigate. They should have left him in the stands to hopefully get pelleted with feces and bags of urine. He deserved it. James is a coward and he proved it by colaborating with his 2 “boys”. Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson called it right when they said they played to beat the competition, not join them.
3:52 pm on July 29th, 2010
that dude was lookin for it, you dont show up wear a miami heat jersey with le quite on it and think no one is going to hammer you.

You guys are ignorant. Sure Cleveland has its problems but no more than all the other cities out there. You guys try going 50 years without a championship and not be pissed when your best player stabs your city in the back on national tv. This douchebag tries rubbing it inour face… not gonna happen!
3:58 pm on July 29th, 2010
Pathetic!!

Retirees dont move to Cleveland because the weather thats also why they don’t move to Chicago, Detroit, Boston, Minneapolis, or Seattle either. Plus the WhiteSox have had a game called due to riot and at least we don’t have pollution any more or smog (LA)
4:01 pm on July 29th, 2010
im sure lebron gonna miss the armpit of america (cleveland) an all of their jacka$$ fans who do nothin but hate on a guy that brought 1 of their 3 pathetic pro sports teams back to national prominance….im sure he gonna miss all the smog in the air, an all the sludge in the river….an all those nice abandon factories (great 4 postcards)……none of that in Miami….jus white sand beaches, beautiful women, an $$$…..cleveland
4:07 pm on July 29th, 2010

I want to know what punk ass recorded this cause he is cheering about a girl getting hit in the face.
4:22 pm on July 29th, 2010
No doubt the fan knew what he had comming to him. However it takes nuts the size of Cleveland to do what he did. Its hard enough going to an away game with opposing jerseys on he went into the belly of the beast with a James heat jersey…classic! Cleveland get over it. Your city acts like a jilted x girfriend/scorn lover….i know it hurts but have some pride and quit crying in public….Cleveland wasnt nothing before Lebron and is back to being irrelevant as a beeper….your city is obselete….and needs to be demolished!……
4:28 pm on July 29th, 2010
Seriously, it’s just a game. People who build their self-esteem on how good their team is, need help. Get some goals Ohio fans. Just another Laker Fan. All Roads to the Final go threw Los Angeles. Tell that to Labron.
4:28 pm on July 29th, 2010
First of all, it’s not Jacobs Field anymore. Second of all, I just watched the whole thing on the news and the girlfriend was not “pushed down”. Third of all, the rest of you jokers can rip on Cleveland all you want. While we may not win championships in sports, we don’t act like pompous asses and rip on every other city. I’ve done a fair bit of travelling in my life and I’m sure that I have plenty of sh!t to say about wherever you wonderful folks are from! Feel free to come for a visit, I’ll bet you wouldn’t think it’s so bad unless all you care about is sports.
4:34 pm on July 29th, 2010
You Cleveland fans need to grow up. So you lost Lebron, suck it up, and move on. Teams lose players all the time…it’s simply the business.
4:35 pm on July 29th, 2010
This whole situation is sad. Of all the things that is wrong with America everyone is so focused on who Lebron chose to play basketball with. WHO CARES!!!! Don’t you all get it, the more attention you all give him, the more he feels supreme. We have a war going on in Afghanistan and Iraq. We are in a deficit in America, people are losing their jobs, their homes, and for some to stoop t0 the levels they have been…..their diginity. How about instead of giving Lebron all that attention, take it away and ignore him and focus on what’s really wrong with America and how WE as Americans can help as a “TEAM” and put it back together. God Bless ALL OF YOU
4:36 pm on July 29th, 2010
You Heat fans are a bunch of retards.
4:41 pm on July 29th, 2010

Police are to protect and serve..unfortunately this officer didn’t…young lady you have all the facts you need its on camera.

I agree with what the one dude said way back. Anyone that will push a girl, what a punk. What a fucking follower. As far as LeBron, fuck him and his greedy self too!! Our country has so much more to worry about than to worry about overpaid, spoiled rotten millionaires. And we have no one to blame but ourselves.

The people that were participating in this “fiasco” should be ashamed of themselves! My gosh, there were CHILDREN around seeing “adults” acting like idiots…. what an example to set for the CHILDREN! Grow up!!!!!!
5:11 pm on July 29th, 2010
This guy came to the game looking for a fight!! Just look at how many shirts he has on, he probably didnt have the balls to wear it until he got into the ball park!!
I hope Miami has room for all the Baby Momma’s he’ll be making when he gets there!!
5:15 pm on July 29th, 2010

5:30 pm on July 29th, 2010
The Heat fan got off easy….the worst beatings will come when the Heat beat the Cavs by 40 and the Browns get beat by the Steelers and Bengals. The weak fans of Cleveland will blame their pain on LeBron….get a life you twats!

5:42 pm on July 29th, 2010
The people that say Cleveland fans suck are just stupid. You try supporting teams that have not won for 50 years you front running a-holes.
5:42 pm on July 29th, 2010
I am from Cleveland and I cannot believe that our fans would act like this. Typical Cleveland. But in addition to that, that kid is an idiot for wearing that jersey. He knew what he was getting himself into by wearing that. He is lucky he wasn’t beat down. What an idiot.
5:49 pm on July 29th, 2010
If I lived in Cleveland, I would move! Seriously!! The only thing they have now is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Yes, this guy was instigating, so what. The collective 3 year old mentality of the citizenry took the bait. Idiots. If I was this guy, I would sue the entity that own Jacobs Field for allowing this to get to the point that it did. Cleveland—a miserable place with bitter, downtrodden people. So glad I don’t live there.
5:52 pm on July 29th, 2010
What is going on in my home state of Ohio. Have people lost there minds??? Since LBJ had no contract he was free to go where he wanted. He gave Cleveland 7 good years. I was there in the 70’s and 80 cheering on the Cavaliers when they really sucked. Now you think you own people if they perform well and hate them if they decide to leave? Must be something in the water. Or you must be drinking from Lake Erie. What’s up with that?
5:55 pm on July 29th, 2010
EVERYONE IN CLEVELAND R JACKASSES THEY HATING ON LEBRON THATS WAY YA’LL ASS WILL NEVER WHEN A CHAMPIONSHIP
6:02 pm on July 29th, 2010

And I DARE a MF to put their hands on me. Lol..yeah push around a skinny guy…I bet if it would have been anyone that looked like thy would whoop your @ss I bet they would have sat there and been quiet….
6:08 pm on July 29th, 2010
i think these people in cleveland are taking this way to serious and the media. they are acting like kids the 7 years lebron been with cleveland they have done nothing to win a championship. they added shaq who is near retirement cleveland fans need to get over this the guy just want to win a ring and i dont think the fans should have reacted the way they did i would have sued. oh yeah im a die hard lebron james fan ever since he came in the league. to the owner of cleveland cavs you need to growup too
6:42 pm on July 29th, 2010

Philly makes Cleveland seem like a class act! JUST SAYING;-)
7:34 pm on July 29th, 2010
thats just gay man. Why hate LeBron? if he was just a medicore player and left, no one would care? but since he won so many games for them, but when he needed his team to step up they couldnt,, well id be dissappointed myself and decide to find someone who could back me up. ,, Guy supports LBRN, let him. He plays for the Heat now, the hating clevland fans cant change that. so they might as well give up. —– and i hope the cops had common sense to at least give this guy a chance to stay and watch the game in one of the special box area thingys whatever they are called where the rich people sit lol. its not his fault the city of clevland are being babies?
7:39 pm on July 29th, 2010
It is amazing that Cleveland is still hung up on this. The fans bought tickets to the game, but other fans at Cleveland are so lame. I do not care what is worn. The person should not have been told to leave the game and the Cleveland fans do not deserve any kind of championship with the way they act. Cleveland fans are the lowest of the low. They are even worse then New York fans. You Cleveland fans need to get a life.
7:56 pm on July 29th, 2010
I cant wait for the heat to play in cleveland!
8:03 pm on July 29th, 2010
Horrible, just horrible. I’m ashamed. The dick and his twat should have left on a stretcher, bleeding with braces on their necks. I’m ashamed for the Indians fans that didn’t make that happen.
You know it would have happened in NYC, Philly, Oakland and, yes, probably Miami.
Throwing beer and peanuts was the best you could do? Horrible, just horrible.
8:56 pm on July 29th, 2010
only thing i can say about cleveland fans are…cleveland sucks, cleveland sucks, like the browns, the cavs sucks
8:56 pm on July 29th, 2010
1) Most of you have never been to Cleveland so commenting with out any knowledge / experiences shows you are not the brightest
2) Being in the Marines from 89-92, I have been in most of the cities / states that you all are from and NONE of your areas are any better.
3) James being from Cleveland and promoting he has the same painful sports memories and empathizing (look up in dictionary for many of you) with us on all the sports agonies that we have endured, makes this different then just a any free agent leaving a city.
4) beating him up would have been dumb, so you pseudo tough guys shut up
9:09 pm on July 29th, 2010
I foresee a lawsuit!!! WTF Cleveland?!!!! Get over it and move on. There are more important things in life!! You would rather risk going to jail for assulting someone because they chose to exercise their freedom to wear a jersey. You all are giving yourselves a bad name. Who wants to go to Cleveland to be around angry people. I don’t. I will spend my money in a city with happy people.
9:28 pm on July 29th, 2010
No, in Miami we don’t care if someone shows up with a different jersey than the home team. In fact, we like it because we don’t go to all the games (way too much to do folks) and those with the silly jerseys fill our seats and pay our athletes.
That’s the difference between a cosmopolitant town and a provintial cowtown whose residents allow themselves to become obsessed with their teams and athletes who don’t give a flip.
Hope the guy sues the pants off the city of Cleveland (cops, team, fans).
9:30 pm on July 29th, 2010
People need to learn that this is just a game. It doesn’t pay you or your bills. It pays them millions to play and after the season is over and your team loses, they go first class to the Bahamas or better. You go back to work. I think the way James did what he did was tacky, but it was his right. The jersey guy also had the right to wear what he wanted. Whatever happened to fun sports bulls%#ting. I’m a philly fan and we do crazy things, but there are jersey of hated teams in our arenas, and nothing happens. We’ve lost our top players through the years but our team is still here and that’s what counts.
9:32 pm on July 29th, 2010
For the record, the stadium is now known as Progressive Field. By the way, we have to have some excitement since the Yankees have given us fits (except for Tuesday even with C.C. on the mound) all week.
9:32 pm on July 29th, 2010
Lawsuit? Are you kidding? Indians can remove anyone they deem is causing a problem. Read your ticket stub. He thought he was funny and getting on the web and tv, but he and jail break girl were jerks.
9:35 pm on July 29th, 2010
CAN YOU SAY LAWSUIT?????? THIS GUY HAS PROBABLY GOTTEN PHONE CALLS FROM 1000′S OF ATTORNEYS WANTING TO REPRESENT HIM WHEN HE SUES THE HELL OUT OF THE CLEVELAND INDIANS. I GOTTA KEEP UP WITH THIS ONE JUST TO SEE HOW MANY LIP PRINTS HE’S GONNA HAVE ON HIS REAR END…..
9:38 pm on July 29th, 2010
The definition of common sense:
stating facts;
NOT being emotional and using the F word on a rant, which includes berating women by using “heart broken girl.”
9:38 pm on July 29th, 2010
It kills me that all these dumb fucks wants and expects all this loyalty and integrity from Lebron and other exceptional athletes. How often I ask, has a player gone to bed playing for one team and woke up playing for another? Noone called, he was just traded. So what he wasnt the “star” of the team. Who gives a fuck about integrity and loyalty then ? Fuck Dan Gilbert, Fuck the fans, and Fuck the organization. Yall have shown that as a man you didnt give a fuck about Lebron, so its only right he didnt give a fuck about yall. And I hope somebody from Cleveland pushes the right person wit a Lebron jersey on and gets shot in the fuckin face for bein stupid. Its obvious all that anger proves……….YOU IDIOTS DONT HAVE ENOUGH FAITH TO BELIEVE YALL CAN WIN WITHOUT HIM. If I’m wrong, go out, win, beat Lebron on the court, shut the FUCK UP, and move on. The whole fuckin city sounds like a heart broken girl whose man doesnt want her any more.
9:47 pm on July 29th, 2010
Why does ONE MAN gets so heavily relied upon ? All I can say is its not like Lebron left after his first contract. In case the Cavs forgot, u guys had SEVEN YEARS !!!!!!!!!LOL Apparently Lebron was the smart one and got the hell outta there before he showed his loyalty with bad knees and zero championships. He may not win in Miami, but it was his right to seek the opportunity. And Im also curious about the whole ESPN controversy from Vegas. Why is the man being criticized for making comments about preferring a bikin clad waitress over a male one? Now hes a womanizer? From Sir Charles to Wilt, to Mike and Magic………..all these so called heroes have been promiscuous. Lebron has never had negative press until he decided to switch teams and thats terrible. But whats more terrible is, if he in fact has been guilty of inappropriate behavior and it was just covered up because of who he is. THAT my good people is NOT HIS FAULT EITHER. See what happens when u worship men, and not GOD ???? Lebron will wake up tomorrow filthy rich. Clevelands fans will continue to just wake up filthy.
9:50 pm on July 29th, 2010
everyday there are something like this happen!
10:00 pm on July 29th, 2010
Marissa, ur absolutely correct. It was a rant. And in my opinion; warranted. Cause its just soooo annoying to witness all the other inappropriate “rants” Cleveland has exercised against this man. When, in the history of sports does an entire city starts fires, burn jerseys, make degrading tee shirts about a mans mother, and beyond, all because he chose to play for another team? We (the public) may not know why Lebron chose to leave in the fashion in which he did. Theres a reason for everything people do. But the behavior following his departure, including that idiotic spectacle at the Indians game, is uncalled for. Or do u support that ? And if it makes u feel better, the city is acting like a heartbroken guy whose girl walked out on him. Not patronizing u. The initial remark wasnt meant to be taken as berating.
10:16 pm on July 29th, 2010
They should give this La Queen Jane her jockey strap so he can smell his(La Queen Janr) ass 24hrs a day.
10:16 pm on July 29th, 2010
Okay, you can all slam on Cleveland and it’s fans all you want and it won’t hurt. This is still a very raw situation and we will heal. That being said, what kind of idiot would walk into a Cleveland event of any kind with that jersey on and not expect to piss people off? I mean really??!! I seriously doubt that a Miami native would travel to Cleveland for an Indians/Yanks game, so this guy was rubbing it in his own city’s face. They shouldn’t have put their hands on him or his girl, but he was just asking for trouble with a capital T. People come here with other teams’ logos all the time and are simply booed, as they would be at any other stadium.
What all of you seem to forget is that LeBron was the best chance of gaining anything that Cleveland has had in a very long time. He was beloved more because he was from right here in Northeast Ohio. No, none of us ever saw him as a God, but what do you think LA would do if they lost Kobe?–or Chicago would have done if MJ left? They are a symbol of what is possible, and a source of pride. They talk about this like a love story, so look at it this way, what would you all do if your loved one was still telling you they loved you and then just dumped you in the most humiliating way possible? They gave him everything he asked for and then some. His team was working just fine for the regular season, and then all of a sudden he couldn’t work with them when it really counted? The losses the last two seasons were as much his fault as everybody else’s, so there are no excuses for the classless behavior.–and every reason for the Cleveland franchise and fans to be hurt and angry. He didn’t even have the guts to give them a heads up although he made sure to text D Wade before the circus aired.
10:20 pm on July 29th, 2010
by the way everything bad about lebron has started leaking out cause cleveland doesnt have his back anymore….no longer the golden boy just another little bitch
10:28 pm on July 29th, 2010
There are idiots everywhere who take things too far.–this is not something that happens in Cleveland regularly. Did you all comment here when the wonderful people of LA were setting fires and looting to celebrate the Lakers win?
Where were all of you when people were tearing him down as overrated and overhyped and the Cleveland fans were defending him tooth and nail? Where were you when he made promises to the city that he would bring a championship here finally? Yes, he left, and he had every right to just as any other free agent does.–but every other free agent didn’t make a spectacle of himself and keep entire franchises on hold waiting so that they could make sure they could give him what he wanted before they made any other moves. Don’t forget, he has been booed in New York and LA as well. He is acting as if Miami is giving him support he never had before which is total crap because he had standing ovations when he went to the grocery store here.
Quite frankly, I hope he does win a championship there because it will always be as D Wade’s sidekick, not his accomplishment alone as it would have been in Cleveland because he WOULD have been able to bring the others here where they would have been his sidekicks. The glory will never be his because it won’t be earned with a completely loaded team, it will be a given.
10:32 pm on July 29th, 2010
I take exception to the misguided perception that Cleveland did not surround LeBron with the talent he needed. The Cavaliers organization had a spot on team. LeBron, for the 2nd season in a row, did not show up for the playoffs. While I admit that the Cavs were poorly coached throughout the playoffs and that management made mistakes in bringing in talent late in the season which did not allow them time to gel as a team, LeBron showed how classless he is by dissing Cleveland on National TV after the free agent deadline had expired. Not only did he not sign with the Cavs, he made it very difficult for them to get any talent for next year. I will continue to root for the Cavs ( I am a 30 year Cleveland resident) and will watch with glee as the Miami HEAT goes down in flames.
10:35 pm on July 29th, 2010
Wow!!! That was great! I couldn’t stand Princess Lebron when she was there and it only fortified my thinking when he spit on his home city by not having the maturity to man up and say I’m leaving.
The fans have the right to heckle and this dumbass who thought, “watch babe, nobody will F**k with me and I’ll piss them all off by wearing this jersey I just spent my allowance on.” HA…JOKES ON YOU LeBRON FAN! Still a Bulls, Bears fan, but that was a great coming together in another midwest city!
10:56 pm on July 29th, 2010
All of you self righteous Cleveland haters kill me. If something like The Decision had happened to your team in your city, you’d be acting the same way and you know it. WTF did this clown think was going to happen ? Did he REALLY think that he could walk into Progressive Field wearing that BS jersey and NO ONE was going to say anything ? He got what he deserved for being a moron who was looking to draw attention to himself, and his girl got what she deserved for not being smart enough to talk him out of wearing that jersey. That fool is lucky he even made it to his seat.
11:07 pm on July 29th, 2010
How is it that one can say Lebron didn’t show up in the playoffs in one breath, but in another say they were poorly coached, AND management made some mistakes bringing in talent too late for the team to gel? That alone sounds like, with better coaching and decision making you have a better team. Blame the organization. I feel sorry for the REAL CLEVELAND FANS (not the jersey burning fools etc etc) and understand their disappointment. But owners do this to players ALL THE TIME. I would love to see this much disdain the next time a player gets traded and doesnt find out until hes watchin ESPN like the rest of us.
11:08 pm on July 29th, 2010

Cleveland is the new nyc, because i guarantee this man is coming to score 50+ (this should be a christmas day game before lakers vs celtics)…..You cleveland fans remind me of school on a sunday…no class
p.s this man deserves a paid trip for him and his girl to south beach to watch lbj and a chance to party with dj khaled and rick ross while doing the superman dance….lol

Get over it you bunch of losers. You couldn’t win with him and you sure as hell won’t win without him.

How many of u guys would stay on a team where apparently everyone ,( coach’s, gm’s and OWNER INCLUDED) except you knew your teammate was alledged to be sleeping with YOUR MOM ! Great display of loyalty huh ? How well would you play after finding out, and how long would you stay. And above all, would you care about how you left if you decided to leave ? I’m FROM Cleveland too, and I myself would have left.
12:11 am on July 30th, 2010

Reason # 1267 Lebron left Cleveland
6:33 am on July 30th, 2010
he had the right to wear the shirt but the world lives in that grey area so right and wrong is never clear which is hard to explain to children as far as lebron who would want to play with shaq west gibson when you lose to teams stacked with talent that is where the league is headed he just made the move earlier which i can respect but he is overrated
6:43 am on July 30th, 2010
I am from Cleveland but live in Fla now and no still not a Heat fan. I will always be a Cavs fan and while disappointed Letraitor left that was his right to do so. Secondly I do not condone what the fans did but honestly how stupid was that to do? I mean you have to be a moron to do something like that. Now for all those haters out there picking on the fans how many of you have been to a hometown game for your pro sports team and you did not boo a player that left to play for a rival. Or how many of you did not harrass fans of the oppsing team? It happens and is part of sports. That would be like a Browns fan going to Steeler country. An OSU fan in the Big House. Your going to get booed and harrased. Deal with is folks. But yes pushing the woman was BS.
7:08 am on July 30th, 2010
What is this country coming to? Now you can’t wear a jersey…A Lebron James jersey? Really.!!! This is so laughable! I don’t care what kind of jersey this guy was wearing it’s a jersey! I will never come to Cleveland for any reason after seeing this! I think the stadium should give that guy and his girlfriend there money back and then some!!! Wow that shows how bad things are in Cleveland when you can’t wear what you want!! If I was dude I would wear it again and again!!! Just to keep pissing people off!! Let go Lakers!!!
7:49 am on July 30th, 2010
Simply put, you eff cleveland we will never forget. You suppport someone who effed Cleveland, we will force you to leave to.
Any body in any city that I have seen a game in college or pro, which includes international venues (mostly soccer abroad), that wears a different or ‘rivals’ colors or jersey will always be tortured by the host fans. Add alcohol and then you don’t have people thinking straight with a pack mentality.
Actually impressed the ‘marky-mark’ wannabe from Sandusky (Jon Gruden, Orlando Pace, Cedar Point) lasted so long.
Wait til drunk fans wearing the Heat #6 jerseys are pointing ’scoreboard’ at a game in chi-town, ny, nj. No doubt they will be roughed up or at least verbally abused.
Think about it. When you are getting ready to go to the game, are you looking in the mirror thinking wow, this is going to go over well as a conversation piece. I’ll be the talk of my section. I’m going to star of the show.
It’s a respect for life thing. Really want to watch the game? Wear your tribe gear like your smarter half did.
SHOUT OUT TO MY YANKS FANS WHO HAD OUR BACKS AND SHARED THE PAIN. CITIES LIKE BUFFALO REACHED OUT WHEN MODELL COMMITTED GEOGRAPHIC SUICICE.
8:27 am on July 30th, 2010
The guy got kicked out for making gestures that would make any reasonable person think he was looking for a fight.
If he would have just sat down, ate his peanuts, he would have been forgotten in one inning. But no, he knew exactly what he was doing. So did the Cleveland fans. Everyone got what they deserved.
The guy got booted and the fans that were firing him up were made out to be jealous ex-girlfriends.
10:17 am on July 30th, 2010
This Why Cleveland has such bad karma when comes to sports. Bunch of idoit fans their!
I am no BIG Lebron fan. But live in Cleveland or live in Miami and party with hot model chicks by the beach.. HUM let me think here.
What BUNCH OF TARDS…I hope Heat the runs up the score this yea when they play …
IN YOUR FACE CLEVELAND!
11:09 am on July 30th, 2010
the bottom line lebron didn’t want to become a Kevin Garnett to have an organization make a bunch of promisses and not delivering. Cleveland had many years to prepare themself for it and decided that it was to much work. They got what they worked for NOTHING.
11:37 am on July 30th, 2010
Reality bites….this guy got the same thing any other city would have given him under the same situation….yes Cleveland has its issues but so do the cities all of you come from…..you are just happy it is not happening to your city so you criticize someone elses city……grow up please…….Lebron did what he wanted to do regardless of the Cav’s bad management……there are only a few cities that have owners who are winners and willing to spend money thats what it takes to win…..if you happen to live in one of those few cities (4 or 5 max) you are lucky…..otherwise you are not any luckier than Cleveland maybe even less so…..besides watching baseball is like watching the grass grow, at least the fans had a few moments of excitement…..
1:06 pm on July 30th, 2010
Hey Cleveland both you and your New Yorker buddies will have a reason to boo when Lebron drops 45 on you. Holla.
1:08 pm on July 30th, 2010
A buddy of mine was at the game, He said this dude was an a-hole, just deliberately taunting people with that jersey. Who in their right mind would wear something like that to a Cleveland sports venue. Dude does not deserve this publicity. Some people will do anything for their Andy Warhol 15 minutes.
1:20 pm on July 30th, 2010
THIS GUY SHOULD SUE THE CLEVELAND INDIANS AND MOVE TO MIAMI because CLEVELAND is SHOWING NO CLASS
1:22 pm on July 30th, 2010
The sad fact of the matter is this, the only people that should have be ejected were the fans that were throwing things, it doesn’t matter if it is intentional or not, when you throw something and it hits another person it is assault, plain and simple. I have no doubt that this guy and his girlfriend have a very solid case against the team, the fans that threw stuff and the police for allowing it to continue in their presence. I have no doubt that he will have his day in court, and when it bankrupt Cleveland, they will have gotten what they deserve….
1:59 pm on July 30th, 2010
Fox News is Garbage. Not even news worthy. He’s 25. What do you expect? Lebron single handedly restored the economy for Cleveland and the state of Ohio since his high school days. He’s handled pressure from all angles that the average blogger, journalist or fan couldn’t imagine in a lifetime. He’s a basketball player people, an entertainer. He’s not a pastor, priest, public offical or educator. Stop looking for atheletes to be role models for our society. Grow up and take responsibility for yourselves and your children. I’m from Akron/Cleveland Ohio and I love it. But the Cavs fans suck, there is no such thing as true loyalty in Cleveland. Lebron is from Akron and I personally don’t think he owes Cleveland 1 red cent! Go Heat!!!!!!
2:04 pm on July 30th, 2010
the cavs didn,t give him the help he needed ? give me a break. if he was so great ,he schouldn,t need it. he,s been waaaay overrated from the start. any nba shirt I ever see,I always think, there,s a a-hole wearing it.
2:06 pm on July 30th, 2010
No matter what anyone on here can say about this guy, his jersey, the fans, or the police… someone violently pushed his girlfriend, and made this into a black eye for the Cleveland fans. I would love to meet up with the coward who shoved the girl and teach him a lesson he would never forget. Heckling is one thing, voilence is another. Hang your head today Cleveland, as one of your own ashamed an entire city with one bonehead move.
2:23 pm on July 30th, 2010
first of all the nba sucks. and miami, why the hell is this cuban town so great now. you couldn,t win a super bowl with dan marino, you couldn,t win a title with shaq, and you sure as hell wont win with overrated ze-bra james.

Cleveland fans can be mad if they want, LeBron is a jerk no matter where he plays (no I’m not from Cleveland and I hate basketball). If most of you who are posting would have been there you would have jumped on the bandwagon, don’t kid yourselves. He wanted a reaction, he got it. She wants to flip people off in their faces she’s going to shoved…deal with it. You all crack me up with your so called morality. I think the whole thing is ridiculous yet funny at the same time.
2:47 pm on July 30th, 2010
Cleveland fans you should have expected this from a self-centered egotistical punk like Lebron. Unfortunately N*****s like him don’t know anything about loyalty. They are all about getting theirs you know all that ghetto rhetoric about doing me and the rest of that ebonics crap. Don’t waste your tears and anger on trash like that. Eventually something good will come your way be it through the Browns, Indians, or Cavaliers in the future. This scumbag may win a few titles but he will always be known as someone with no honor who had to join Wade’s team to be a champion. I am not from Cleveland and am not a fan of any of your teams but I sympathize with you. Just realize that when you are dealing with these people don’t expect anything from them because they are all about themselves and their ghetto coherts!

As the great Sam Wyche once said to an unruly Riverfront stadium “you dont live in cleveland…….you live in Cincinnati” or insert any other city pretty much and it will have the same effect….Losing on the level they have for so many years has got to have some kind of psychological effect on the cleveland sports fan…you guys have to be quiet pretty much when any other sports fan is talking because the only memorable sports moments you have are gut wrenching losses on the big stage to better teams and athletes From the “Modell Move” “the Fumble” the “Drive” “Michael Jordan over Ehlo” Lebron has now assumed responsibility for all of Clevelands failures…last i checked this “Kid” is only 25 years old and he has sacrificed his prime years on the altar of cleveland mediocrity for SEVEN years!!! SEVEN Years!!! i just shake my head in disbelief when i hear the quitter and traitor comments…Hence the plight of the Black athlete you are always loved until they find a reason to hate you. Respectful, Hard working, hard playing, Team oriented, unselfish Leader on the court, no legal problems, No Drug problems, singlehandedly resurrected that burning bag of shit they call a city, took less money to win as a team somewhere else instead of trying to “Superman it alone ” for as much money as he could carry. but now hes a selfish n****r and a traitor and the kid wearing his jersey is a wigger and his girlfriend deserves to be assaulted….SAD

@Tim you are a racist piece of sh*t, redneck, sister f***in scumbag, Stop watchin Fox news and Glen Beck and get over the fact that we have a black president… i wish one you racist f***in honkies would have the nerve to say something like that to a black persons face instead of hiding behind your PC and edited videos…….f***in cowards …i hope all sports teams are removed from cleveland and all black athletes boycott your stupid little racist city. You make not like hip hop and N*****s but i bet your daughter does
3:32 pm on July 30th, 2010
The guy’s just lucky he got out of there in one piece.
3:57 pm on July 30th, 2010
YOU FANS ARE SO BRAINWASHED W/SPORTS U LET ONE GUY WEARING A JERSEY OFFEND U!!!! LEBRON AINT WORRIED ABOUT U FAKE ASS FANS, NO CLASS WHATSOEVER!!THEN YA’LL WONDER WHY CLEAVLAND IS THE LAUGHING STOCK OF ANY SPORT!!GET A HOBBY OR SOMETHING!!!!GROW THE FUCK UP!!!WEAK ASS MUTHERF–KERS!!
3:59 pm on July 30th, 2010
Cleveland obviously has no class. Even in Philly where we are considered the worst fans in history when people wear Iverson jerseys when he was on the Nuggets we wouldnt Boo them and throw stuff at them. Like honestly grow up. What a good role models for the kids throwing stuff and booing somebody for wearing a shirt. Stuff Happens , get over it.
4:20 pm on July 30th, 2010
@ That being said, what kind of idiot would walk into a Cleveland event of any kind with that jersey on and not expect to piss people off? I mean really??!! I seriously doubt that a Miami native would travel to Cleveland for an Indians/Yanks game, so this guy was rubbing it in his own city’s face.
———————————————————————-
Are you saying that only Cleveland Indians fans and only Cleveland any team fans are welcomed. Supposed he had walked in with a Dallas Cowboys NFL Jersey or an National’s hat on. If so, your town is in a serious world of hurt. Fact is that the violence agains him was rather selective. Doncha think?
4:20 pm on July 30th, 2010
That is @nWN. Sorry.
4:22 pm on July 30th, 2010
Crap, I meant @ tWN, crap.
4:31 pm on July 30th, 2010
I’m trying to understand why people are aghast at the reaction of Cleveland fans to the Miami Heat James jersey guy. The guy wore it precisely to taunt everyone around him, and was thus, taunted. Its funny.
More interestingly, how everyone in this forum seems to want to jump on the “slam Clevelandars” bandwagon, in a way to get revenge for some sort of successful dynasty the city has had (which it never has had) so I wonder is this just a case of seeing blood and everyone piling on? When did Cleveland become the city to hate most? Strange….
I guess the problem I’m having is, that I can’t think of another example to compare this too. Everyone keeps mentioning “a lack of class”, but this isn’t like a Yankee fan getting run out of the stadium, or a Steeler fan… etc… This is something totally different, and there is, to my memory, no precedent for the way Lebron James left Cleveland. So who’s to say how St. Louis… or Denver would react if it happened to them.
Apparently people aren’t understanding how this really struck a nerve in many Clevelandars, and don’t see how after a few weekss later they still hate Art Model… I mean Lebron James.
4:33 pm on July 30th, 2010
@ Laker fan,
You said:
“I am from Cleveland but live in Fla now and no still not a Heat fan.”
—————————————————————-
So you are a Clevander, are upset with Lebron, but you root for the Lakers? Why don’t you root for Cleveland?????
Puleezze tell me what they are putting in the Cleveland water for you people from Cleveland. And you wonder why Clevanders are getting a beating. No pun intended Heat fan.
4:44 pm on July 30th, 2010
I just thought of a precedent for this.
Ever seen the Seinfeld episode when Elaine goes to a Mets or Yankee game and gets taunted for wearing a Baltimore Oriole hat and gets escorted out?
Comedy needs a little truth in order for it to be funny. I dont recall the outrage for such a scenario then.
4:45 pm on July 30th, 2010
this is why sports suck. idiots take their love for their teams too far and overreact to a jersey with a fucking name on it. also the guy who pushed the girl is a coward and should have been arrested on the spot.
4:48 pm on July 30th, 2010
The dude in the jersey was asking for it by wearing it to the game. He also looks like Delonte West.
4:55 pm on July 30th, 2010
@ MKnv, you said:
“first of all the nba sucks. and miami, why the hell is this cuban town so great now. you couldn,t win a super bowl with dan marino, you couldn,t win a title with shaq, and you sure as hell wont win with overrated ze-bra james.”
————————————————————-
–What do you think M, shall we bring Arizonal law to Florida and send all the cubans back??? No comas mierda, LOL
–Marino is true NFL grit. Don’t care he didn’t win the SB. Will take him over any of your QB anytime, even now with his bad knees.
–Shaq won one (1) NBA title with the Heat, in 2005.
–LBJ (0) NBA titles in Miami as of today. But if you say he will win none, then do you mind sending me the PowerBall winning numbers for the next draw. Me split $85M with you.
Chao,

This shows how messed up our law enforcement, society and of course, our government is. This act, the comments here and the illegal immigrants that are allowed to break our laws.
5:25 pm on July 30th, 2010
Wow..I’m a Lakers Fan…but to have cleveland indians fans react that way is stupid. And to disrespect THE LADY BY PUSHING HER TO THE GROUND…I would do what society has made us into..I would own half of the stadium as well as the city and those that were called out for the insults, peanuts throwing, beer smacking and tossing..i would own their house and they would be homeless wearing a Lebron Miami Jersey. CAN U SAY I SMELL A LAW SUITE!!!! Its coming…and give me my damn key to the city so I can take it to South Beach…best choice Lebron made and it show why…especially the F&*$ing coward who placed his hands on a woman..now we know how he treats his mother..for the apple doesnt fall far from the tree.
6:08 pm on July 30th, 2010
people in clevealnd are so rude!
6:45 pm on July 30th, 2010
CLEVELAND SUCKS. I’d have all his jerseys too. Cleveland gave him the attention he didnt ask for it. If Bron wanted to win (clearly he did) he will have fun doing it now. Only classless Cleveland would pull this stunt.
7:38 pm on July 30th, 2010
James is gone!!….get over it!….PLEASE!!!
9:02 pm on July 30th, 2010
What a bunch of losers no wonder he left that city with ugly women and fat men. Who would really want to live there anyway.
9:25 pm on July 30th, 2010
You guys out there s**k, in all aspects. You just adore pretty much every earthly things…you will all go to hell! Hohoho…i’m pretty sure you will choose an NBA game over an evening mass. Pathetic… anyway i do think leBum is a jerk…LOL
10:45 pm on July 30th, 2010
This IDIOT should have known better to wear the jersey to a Cleveland game and FLAUNT it to the fans.He is lucky to get out in one piece. And yes he was flaunting it.
10:47 pm on July 30th, 2010
This IDIOT should have known better to wear the jersey to a Cleveland game and FLAUNT it to the fans.He is lucky to get out in one piece. And yes he was flaunting it.
11:47 pm on July 30th, 2010
this is cowardice on these losers or fans if the best way they can support their team is by ganging up on people and even attacking women. cleveland fans have now taken over the banner from philly fans the title as moronic and classless fans in any sport. you should have pressured your team to get LJ some help but it appearently makes more sense to beat women than to represent your town and team with class
11:54 pm on July 30th, 2010
nothing wrong with flaunting your allegiance to your team. i have worn redskin jerseys to cowboy games in their stadium and other than some rude comments they did not attack
12:09 am on July 31st, 2010
as for laker fan thinking his city has anymore class lets not forget rioting when they got lucky and beat boston. now theres some class too
1:05 am on July 31st, 2010

cleveland isn’t that a suburb of canada. instead of cavs call them cons from outer space the girl should sue the shit out of cleveland and i hope she does sorry ass coward, if all you can do is beat on women i would love to show you a gal in florida she would stomp your ass.cleveland sucks award goes to the women beater real champ.
6:58 am on July 31st, 2010
Sounds a lot like that incident 6 years back when Boozer left. Cleveland can’t deal with rejection. I don’t see Utah burning Boozer’s jersey in effigy, or hear them tearing up talk shows about him leaving them. GET OVER IT!
8:18 am on July 31st, 2010
I think its funny, the responses admonishing the fans for not beating this guy to a bloody pulp. That man and his woman got their attention, other fans of jilted sports cities know not to act like Cleveland fans.
Don’t even like LeBron, but I wish him the best any time he’s not playing against the Lakers.
8:35 am on July 31st, 2010
I’m still amazed at how people behave today. Yes the jersey was probably worn to illicit attention, but harming someone is called assault. Booing and talking smack is all part of the game to some extent, but hurting people is a different story altogether. Clevland must put this behind them so they can quit embarrassing themselves. what’s next riots?
8:48 am on July 31st, 2010
If you watched the video, you would have noticed that the guy was showing off his jersey to the fans. By doing that, he was just asking for it, and he had whatever he got coming to him. However, I think the fans acted irresponsibly and immaturely by throwing things and cursing at him. They set a bad example for the kids in the stands, and the guy put himself and his girlfriend in danger. I think both parties are in the wrong here.
9:25 am on July 31st, 2010
Has evryone in the world forgotten what life is about in this case it is about the freedom of choice and he should be able to wear what he wants when he wants, hell Lady Gaga showed up at Yankee’s game without pants, this all should happen withou the fear of violence. I do think the guy is a tool though.
12:49 pm on July 31st, 2010
Only Cleveland would harm women. Bunch of p*ssies
2:35 pm on July 31st, 2010
I dont agree at all with the way that fans acted in this situation , however, people saying the guy in the jersey had a right to wear it and express his opinions forget about special circumstances involved in free speech. This is analgous to scenario in which someone runs into a movie theater and screems fire to instigate or rile the people. We all know that situation that guy will be punished. Its a similar concept here, the guy came to incite and possibly cause emotions to rise to the point that innocent by standers could have been hurt by the mob mentality. I’m not saying people shouldnt be held responsible for their actions.
2:46 pm on July 31st, 2010
Freedom of speech and expressing is null and voided whenever a situation arises in which an individual is instigating or anagonizing mob mentality to the point of violence. This individual obviously has every intention of instigation therefore his right to free speech is void to the right of the many who were there to peaceably watch a baseball game. He was tugging on his jersey showing it in peoples faces to attempt to rile them up.
3:47 pm on July 31st, 2010
Well at least they didnt get tasered. Listen up.Not all people from Cleveland are IDIOTS. Only a few. This woman probally did not know what her boyfriend was wearing as most women could not tell the difference between Football and Baseball. The guy needed his @ss kicked for putting her in such a hostile situation. And yes the fat @ss that dumped the beer should have been arrested.
Lebron is gone. So what? Good riddence.Never liked his attitude anyway.
4:01 pm on July 31st, 2010

6:27 pm on July 31st, 2010
all i know is this kid needs to get off lebrons nut sack . lakers 3 peat x you guys know the drill .
11:42 pm on July 31st, 2010
I’m stunned how many jerks are out there go to all these ball games, whether it’s b-ball, baseball, soccer, or whatever. The guy in green should have been the one taken out of the game. Come on, Cleveland fans, get over it. LeBron is gone. Having said that, why should people fuss over what the guy is wearing?! At least he wasn’t running around naked or something. So, all of these pathetic wretches out there who jeered at this innocent fan should face disciplinary action. Then again, it’s still not the right time to carry around in public anything that does deal with Lebron.
12:48 am on August 1st, 2010
The city of Cleveland should be upset that they lost a great Superstar, but the actions showed by fans at a baseball game proves that we have a bunch of crazed idiots in Cleveland. Now you see why LeBron could not convince any other superstars to play with him in Cleveland. The action those fans took over a simple jersey proves that Cleveland is the worst place to play no matter what sport you are in. GOOD JOB idiotic fans of Cleveland.
12:49 am on August 1st, 2010
I rember when I was aked to leave a Yankees game because I wouldn’t take off my Orioles cap.
4:14 am on August 1st, 2010
Feel Sorry For Cleavland Fans - they have become…NO CLASS people…can you say dumb, dumber, and dumbest…,and no, i am not talking about the fan who wore that heat jersey…but the fans, the city, the owner of cleavland! Losers all losers and now the world knows it, just because a player, who honored his contract and brought you the most successful years ever in basket ball and the economy, left you cry, ridicule, slob, disgrace yourselves…get over it and find anotherone like all teams do…eventually ever team loses their star one way or the other! They dont cry and throw fits…they go after another one and rebuild and live! PITIFAL CLEAvLANDS!!!
4:32 am on August 1st, 2010
Who pushes a girl?! That’s ignorant and rude. He should of got something for that.
6:13 am on August 1st, 2010
It’s a sad state of affairs when a player leaves a team and the whole city acts like babies. Get a life people of Cleveland, move on, grow up, get an education and move to a better city. Because the one you live in has some foul people and energy. WEAK.
7:39 am on August 1st, 2010
Even more pathetic is the people of this country caring more about this crap more than the Constitution.
7:50 am on August 1st, 2010
I hope they enjoyed cheering when they were removed because when the NBA season starts up again they will have absolutely nothing to cheer about. What a bunch of pathetic losers the people of Cleveland are

2:09 pm on August 1st, 2010
Everyone here needs to get a life. All the people that are talking about Cleveland(the city) wouldn’t be saying anything if they lived there. everyone here are idiots, the man left the team, who cares. he’s just a pre-madonna anyways
6:59 pm on August 1st, 2010
are we living in america or not!!!!! a freedom of choice country…
8:19 pm on August 1st, 2010
So by the reaction of Cleveland fans…we get to see how they really feel about LeBron. He is okay if he stays but they turn their backs on him when he moves on. He put Cleveland on the map and now the fans boo him. Yeah, real good Cleveland. LeBron must feel really welcomed back if he sees this vid. Don’t worry, us South Floridians will take good care of him and we will watch the Heat take down the Cavs….if the Cavs make it that far.
11:54 pm on August 1st, 2010
Cleveland fans are a bunch of vaginas. Disgraceful.
1:09 am on August 2nd, 2010
Wow, a bunch of lames acting like jilted women. Man, nobody gives a damn about cleveland. It’s like they took the worst part of Detroit, cut it in half, then put it in Ohio. Cleveland is a 1 horse town, and that horse is on crippled legs. Ugly city, ugly women, ugly people, bad jobs, bad weather, Cleveland is just plaing garbage period. I don’t know about you all, but anyplace where the water in your river burns is NOT a place I want to live. Personally, I think the city and it’s people should be bombed like germany and japan in world war 2. The craters the bomb would make would actually improve how the city looks. Man, F&*K cleveland!!!
5:51 am on August 2nd, 2010
I have to admit that the fans in Cleveland are a bunch of ill-fated idiots. So LeBron is gone. So what!!! Get a life!! Oh, I forgot, you live in Cleveland, so you have no life. Ground Zero Blast said it best; ugly city, ugly people and the garbage capital of the US.
9:46 am on August 2nd, 2010
Wow.. I can’t believe everyone’s siding with the fan.
I was already wondering what kind of person would buy a Lebron Heat jersey.. You kinda have to be a jerk just to buy that jersey, no?
This guy plopped down big bucks for the jersey, went to a CLEVELAND game, where he knew people weren’t happy about Lebron, and then TAUNTED people around him.
And commenters are siding with this guy? They would have sat quietly while this guy made fun of them?
11:34 am on August 2nd, 2010
Cleveland is more than its sports teams. Great city with great restaurants, great arts scene, world class museums,etc.. Who cares about Lebron James. Those ripping on the city, should visit before they bash. People hate Lebron not because he left but because how he did it. He made the Cavs jump through hoops, sign player after player that he had to give approval for, so they could win in the short term, so now they are screwed for the long term. And then he does it on National t.v. THAT is why he is hated. He didn’t put Cleveland on the map. Go to Boston, NYC, London, Berlin, Vienna and they will tell you they know Cleveland and it has nothing to do with sports.
11:57 am on August 2nd, 2010
Go Lebron! Glad you’re out of that nasty city!
3:14 pm on August 2nd, 2010
Basketball has changed forever. Miami is now the Harlem Globetrotters, and the rest of the NBA is the Washington Generals. There is nothing wrong with Cleveland that a little napalm wouldn’t fix. Go Lebron, Go Heat, Go Ravens
3:14 pm on August 2nd, 2010
Love how everyone is backing up some punk ensuing a riot. Yeah thats really classy. On top of it if Lebron pulled the same stuff in New York and some idiot came into Yankee stadium wearing that his life would of really been in danger.
5:43 pm on August 2nd, 2010
It is everyone’s right to wear whatever they like. It is what I have defended for 26 years in the military. As well as it is the freedom that we have to voice our opinions. When a person touches someone else for no reason is way over the line. Free agency is the culpret as well as owners who pay them. It is something that has been part of pro sports for years. Where the money goes, so goes the player. With the advent of free agency, loyalty to a franchise went out the door. Lebron is an over paid kid in a business world. He showed that when he walked off pouting during previous playoffs and didn’t man up and shake the other team’s hands. Why would it have changed now. He handled it like all the media wanted him to handle it. Cleveland deserved better than that. The fans of Cleveland need to handle this whole situation better than that and move on. THe earth continues to rotate. Show Lebron and the rest of the country that the city is not centered around one overpaid person. When the Cavs eventually win the championship, it will prove that it takes a team to win, not one person.
6:24 pm on August 2nd, 2010
oh yeah real classy to push a lady but he would have gotten a south beach beat down if he pushed my lady and i see a lot of yankee jerseys in the shot the yankees have been whooping that ass for 40 years if i want to wear my jearsey to the game dont throw a beer and hide your hands be a man and step up you are in cleveland even movies diss you sad ass town
10:04 pm on August 2nd, 2010
good for cleveland, first Jordan kept killing ur dreams in the playoff and now Lebron. U are meant to be a loser NBA team. Stick to hockey. it wil take u another 10 years to reach the playoffs, because everyone knows u are gonna finish on the bottom.
12:09 am on August 3rd, 2010
This is just another example of why Cleveland is THE WORST CITY IN THE WORLD. At any other stadium in the US he might have been booed or even had a peanut or two thrown out him. But when an entire stadium attacks someone for rooting for another team, well that’s just pathetic. No wonder Lebron left, he was probably constantly embarrassed by the people around him. Cleveland will never win at anything, they’re a town full of losers and this just proves it. I’m a Thunder fan and could give a crap about where Lebron plays but Cleveland just gave everyone in the US a reason not to feel sorry for them. Except for the fact they live in Cleveland I do pity them for that, just like I pity those poor souls in war torn impoverished African nations. The Africans do have one thing going for them, they’re not in Cleveland.
7:24 am on August 3rd, 2010
Go Lebron! Glad you’re out of that nasty city!
9:14 am on August 3rd, 2010
Lets call a spade, a spade. This guy had to have known that something would happen wearing that jersey to the game. However, with that said, Cavs fans, get over it. It’s just a game. It’s not real life. No reason to get aggressive. James wanted to go someplace he has a chance to win a title. He’s no MJ who elivated his team to greatness. Enough said. Peace..
10:49 am on August 3rd, 2010
You know, when Lebron did what he did on ESPN, for a moment there, I felt bad for the city of Cleveland. Not because he left the city but because of the way he went about it. I understand what he meant to the team and the fans, but people, people - he is NOT nor will he ever be God. The city of Miami will find that out soon enough.
But that is no excuse for the way those fans at the Indians game treated another human being, who, last I checked, is free to wear whatever he wants to any place he goes in the U.S. that doesn’t have a dress code - which Indians stadium does not. And how in the world the cops did not escort the guy who pushed that woman out of the ballpark is beyond me!
Lebron may have done what he did, but the fans in Cleveland should be ashamed of themselves for stooping even lower than Lebron ever could.
GO BULLS!!!!!
2:51 pm on August 4th, 2010
rosaj,
You don’t get out too much, do you? There are plenty of stadiums in the country - Philly for one - where this guy would have been bleeding profusely by the time he got to the gates. And he richly deserved what he got.
The fact that people defend LeBron just shows you how far down our society has fallen. He had a chance to leave gracefully, but he decided to rub Cleveland’s face in it. If he blows his knee out next year, I’ll never stop laughing. Watch out, LeBron. Karma is coming, buddy.
3:54 pm on August 4th, 2010
Yet another symptom, a sign, of the inherent stupidity and mob mentality our country/society possesses.
If allowed, these people would have killed this guy, raped his girlfriend and then hurled feces at each other during the victory dance.
You assault a human being for wearing a sports jersey?
Push his girlfriend?
Mindless apes in Starter caps.
I think it’s hilarious how much emotional stock you imbeciles put into these outfits (’cause like JS said “you’re really just rooting for a uniform”) when you had NOTHING to do with the success/failure of the franchise and it has no significance (beyond your little must-to-belong-to-a-group insecure world) in the first place.
All this kid did was prove a point: Cleveland is full of hyper-sensitive, angry retards.
10:54 am on August 5th, 2010
the fans and the guy wearing the jersey are all PATHETIC!
2:36 pm on January 5th, 2012
for the people who think the guy did anything wrong. no he did not he wear a jersery you clowns applenty have an issue and need to grow up and grow a pair who the f cares what he wears enjoy the fing game. he paid to get in.
