John Ourand of SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL reports Sunday afternoon:
(Was Tiger ‘get’ conditional on no pre-promotion by the network?)
Tiger speaks: I’m hearing that Woods’ 1st 1-on-1 interview was with ESPN’s Tom Rinaldi today. Taped piece should be on ESPN after 7p tonight
Ourand is an ace reporter so I have no doubt the interview is on.
The best part of the Tiger-ESPN interview has already happened. The fact that Woods tried to dictate terms (no pre-promotion) to the network and someone in Bristol leaked it. Well-struck, chaps.
Nice to see that at least one lonely soul at ESPN isn’t afraid to face down Woods, unlike the media that was willingly sheperded into a La Quinta meeting room for the golfer’s last public lecture.
UPDATE (4:48p ET): The ASSOCIATED PRESS now reports Woods is also appearing in an interview with The Golf Channel:
The Golf Channel will broadcast an interview conducted by Kelly Tilghman, who is close with Woods and has served as the emcee for some of his clinics.

Yeah this IS nice to see…Right up to the point when they start to regret it because Tiger will never give another interview to ESPN or ABC or anybody affiliated with them again.
