WIFE OF FORMER BUC LIT HIS GFRIEND’S CLOTHES ON FIRE: The ST. PETERSBURG TIMES reports today that “Firefighters put out a blaze on the driveway of former Tampa Bay Bucaneers cornerback Ricky Reynolds on Sunday” after his wife lit the clothes of his girlfriend on fire.
Excerpt: “Pamela Reynolds, 41, told sheriff’s deputies that she and her husband, Derrick Scott Reynolds, are in the process of divorcing but that they had agreed not to bring ’significant others’ into their home. She said she arrived at their house in the gated community of Lake Jovita and found a suitcase and some women’s clothing in their bedroom. She took the clothes, along with some of Derrick’s football photos, out to the driveway and lit them on fire, the sheriff’s report said.”
Reynolds’ girlfriend, Lori Smith, will apparently not press charges - so Pamela Reynolds was merely issued an “illegal burn warning” by police. Oh yeah, the former Buc’s laptop and football photos were also torched, and one of his NFL championship rings is missing.
The only silver lining of the incident: Ricky Reynolds played cornerback for the Bucs from 1987-93 - so if anyone can handle getting burned, it’s him.
