As a sports blogger and San Antonio resident this is disturbing. This story broke earlier today on San Antonio news sites and the updated version as of 7:17 pm CST says Robertson has been arrested. He was arrested in Bentoville Ark but it doesn’t look like he was alone. I am not making any excuses for him, because this is not his first run in with the law, but many people were involved and this is a sad case for young girls.

Seems I am reading more and more about these kinds of things recently and it is truly despicable.

i recall once listening to a radio show (perhaps it was dan patrick or kornheiser’s, i can’t recall) and they were talking about who was the craziest player in the nba. they went back with the usual barkley/oakley/vernen maxwell names when the host finally talked about how when he asked john berry who was the craziest guy he ever played with that berry responded without question it was robertson. that how once robertson once asked him to get him some tickets for some game and that berry did everything in his power to make sure you got robertson those tickets and that they were good ones. that the last thing you wanted was to have alvin robertson angry at you.

talk about wild stuff.
