The DAYTONA BEACH NEWS-JOURNAL serves up news that the New Jersey Nets star is working on establishing a local upscale eatery. Well, actually, it’s his mom that’s doing all the work:
Carter’s mother, Michelle Carter-Scott, acting as managing member of a limited liability company, has applied to the St. Johns River Water Management District and the city of Daytona Beach for approval of a restaurant project called Vince Carter’s on four acres on the north side of LPGA Boulevard.
So, what’s on the menu? What kind of decor will the new place have?
Neither Carter-Scott nor a lawyer representing the company responded to a reporter’s requests for information on the project.
Sounds like they’re off to a great start already. Way to drum up potential business by not telling the press anything about your place.
Carter’s restaurant will be located on LPGA Boulevard (how did the Daytona city council decide on this street name?) near I-95. Guess Vince is aiming to entice the upscale trucker crowd.
If the eatery offers good food at reasonable prices, it should do well. But if the restaurant falters, Vince may demand a trade to a better-contending interstate off-ramp.
