I don't know when we decided we need to point out to others that they've have been offended. Invoking God is pretty standard fare in locker rooms - as are expletive filled rants. A lot of times all in the same breath with no apology and no sense of irony. This is what coaches have always done - it's their schtick, part of the theatrics, often corny and it's awesome.
