Two Stephen F. Austin football players, Romeo Robinson and Darren Robinson, were spotted faking injuries in an attempt to slow down the offense of Texas A&M last Saturday.
The above shot is following a Texas A&M offensive play. Moments later, after looking to the sidelines, both Robinsons went down like they were shot:
The acting job, replete with a SFA trainer attending to Darren Robinson, actually worked for the Lumberjacks on the particular play.
No wonder Stephen F. was paid $325,000. Those are some serious chops.
One play though doesn’t a game make. The Aggies routed Stephen F. Austin 48-7.

Our local High School team here in Texas could beat SFA….about d*mn time the Aggies play someone of quality. I hate this preseason scam by those schools afraid to compete with good teams.
2:24 pm on September 8th, 2010
…and the Oscar goes to Darren. He seemed completely committed to the role, while Romeo only half-assed it. It’s sad really.
9:07 pm on September 8th, 2010
Rumor has it that the soccer players at SFA spent the summer teaching the football players how to dive. The giveaway was when the refs were interviewed after this game and they said something about the Robinsons trying to convince them to give a yellow card to the Aggie quarterback.

“Our local High School team here in Texas could beat SFA”
SFA was one of the better FCS teams last year. They could beat quite a few FBS teams.
1:08 am on September 9th, 2010
Speaking of cupcakes…..I bet the Lumberjacks could beat Rice !!!
7:05 am on September 9th, 2010
Wow “our local high school team could beat SFA” you obviously don’t have a clue what you are talking about. Matter of fact we are ranked in the top 10 in every FCS preseason pole. A&M should have beat us as we were the only ones with anything to gain from that game if we won. Just be glad you all finally have a defense to go with the offense…still won’t help you this year…maybe you all need the 13th man!
9:52 am on September 9th, 2010
What’s funny is that Texas also did this against Rice last week. I guess you pull out the stops when you have to.
9:57 am on September 9th, 2010
SFA, This is my hometown school and one of the colleges I attended. Sad about this deception but glad we/they are finally newsworthy in football again.

The only reason we played SFA is because Florida State pulled out very late. They were to afraid two play to big 12 teams two weeks in a row. Florida State pulled out late in the off season and SFA was one of the last teams that had a preseason slot to fill. By the way Florida State had to pay big fines for pulling out so late.

The only reason Texas A&M played SFA is because Florida State pulled out of their game very late in the scheduling season. They were too afraid to play two big 12 teams two weeks in a row (A&M then OU). Florida State pulled out late in the off season and SFA was one of the last teams that had a preseason slot to fill. By the way Florida State had to pay big fines for pulling out of the game so late. Planning a schedule to play Florida State and Arkansas in the pre-season is a reputable pre-season schedule for anybody. It’s not our fault Florida State decided not to play us after they were committed to.

I went to both schools and love each of them. Lots of big time football schools play little schools to boost their records and the little schools benefit by making some money. However, if those players from little schools get hurt, I don’t think it in their best interest. I don’t condone cheating or faking like these 2 players supposedly did. I don’t know how you prove it though.
3:16 pm on September 9th, 2010
@ Cut/Copy, you’re an idiot. No high school team could beat any college team. It just would not happen. Just like the best college team could never beat the worst NFL team, each level is filled with the best of the best. The skill level goes up exponentially as you rise in level.
5:06 pm on September 9th, 2010
Old Man, 34-17 is not blowing anyone out…in fact Texas should have scored at least 40-50 against Rice like they always do against lesser teams. There’s no way to tell if the players were faking because A&M games aren’t televised.
6:31 pm on September 9th, 2010
Duderson, I know one game that is going to be televised on thanksgiving day in Austin. Yes, we will see the Aggies beat t.u. again in Austin.
By the way why didn’t you guys follow Colorado to the PAC 10? Oh yeah, Texas A&M was going to go to the SEC instead of the PAC 10 and the PAC 10 didn’t want you without us. Guess what Texas A&M has an open invitation to the SEC, which was announced on national TV, and poor t.u. has no invite! They don’t want you. So it looks like your headed to the PAC 10 anyway. Texas A&M will be in the SEC in a couple of years either before right after we finish tearing down and rebuilding the east and west sides of Kyle Field. We will leave the Big 12 sooner if the Big 12 fails to come up with the promised $25M this year to keep us in the Big 12. By the way the Big 12 commission still has no idea where that promised money is going to come from. C-Ya later t.u., we are going to SECede to the SEC without you. Did I mention Oklahoma is considering the SEC also.

TAM is a bunch of pansies. I can squat 450 with bad knees and my IQ is 155. I could beat TAM by myself
9:20 pm on September 9th, 2010
Jimmy, you just can continue to beat yourself.
11:12 pm on September 9th, 2010
When was the last time that ATM won a National Championship, heck when was the last time they won any championship, let along the Big 12, heck even the Big 12 South. ATM is delusional as every believing that they somehow rate as a Football Powerhouse. Being a Powerhouse requires winning, something the Aggies haven’t done, since they kicked old R.C. out on his ass. UT makes twice what ATM does a year through its athletic program, and they have multi- National Championships in numerous sports and continue to compete at the highest levels. To think that ATM somehow holds the cards is nothing more than fantasy, just like all those ATM National Championships and top-10 finishes they haven’t had. Then again it is the Aggies, and by the way what’s up with all male cheerleaders.

Rice Texas A&M has As of August 2010 in the Big 12, Aggies have earned 136 Southwest and Big 12 conference regular-season and tournament titles and 10 team national championships. In football, we have 18 Southwest Conference championships, 2 Big 12 South Division championships, 1 Big 12 championship, and 1 national championship. I assure you we will win more Big 12 national championships in football and our 19 other sports in the VERY near future. We had a hiccup with Franchione but I assure you we are building a program like you have never seen or ever will be a part of. By the way R.C. is on staff and has never been out on his ass. We have produced 41 first Team All-Americans, 5 Academic All-Americans, and 1 Heisman Trophy winner. We have a serious Heisman contender this year in Jerrod Johnson who posted better stats than both Colt McCoy and Sam Bradford last year. There are also 21 current Aggies in the NFL. Where is Colt did he get cut? In 2004, CBS SportsLine.com ranked Kyle Field the top football stadium while Sporting News ranked it fourth. The same year Sports Illustrated on Campus ranked an A&M football weekend the third best college football experience.
By the way who is the Governor of Texas Rick Perry and Aggie. You may have known that one. I bet you don’t know the Mayor of Austin Let me help you he is an Aggie named Will Wynn.
You have fun in the PAC 10. If you need us later we will be in the SEC.
1:11 am on September 10th, 2010
Rice there is no doubt t.u. is a great school and has a great athletic program. I don’t dispute that, but sorry t.u. your time is coming to an abrupt end very soon.
Rice why didn’t t.u. follow Colorado to the PAC 10? Oh yeah, Texas A&M was going to go to the SEC instead of the PAC 10 and the PAC 10 didn’t want you without us. Maybe the ACC will offer an invitation to t.u. Guess what Texas A&M has an open invitation to the SEC, which was announced on national TV, and poor t.u. has no invite! They don’t want you.

Hey smart guy jim beam read this brief history of Texas A&M then look in the mirrow and say “I’m a pansy” Rice you might want to read also. I’ pretty sure t.u. didn’t have anything to do with winning World War I or II. Texas A&M is a big reason why you’re not speaking German.
Many Texas A&M graduates served during World War I. By 1918, 49% of all graduates of the college were in military service, more than any other school. In early September 1918, the entire senior class enlisted, with plans to send the younger students at staggered dates throughout the next year. Many of the seniors were fighting in France when the war ended two months later. Over 1,200 former students served as commissioned officers.
Many Aggies again served in the military during World War II, with the college producing 20,229 combat troops. Of those, 14,123 Aggies served as officers, more than any other school and more than the combined total of the United States Naval Academy and the United States Military Academy. During the war, 29 A&M graduates reached the rank of general.
Would you like to know how many of these soldiers were awarded the congressional medal of honor? Next time you go to Kyle Field count all the American flags on the top of the third decks of the North, East, South and West sides of the stadium. Each one represents a recipient.
Whats that you have never been to Texas A&M or Kyle Field? Then keep you 3rd grade comments to yourself because you have no idea what you’re talking about. Mr. 155.
You have no idea about the class, honor and traditions of this institution or what it means to be a part of Texas A&M University.

TAM is still a huddle of pansies. I am up to 500 on the squat and IQ of 160. I speak 4 languages and know multi-varient calculus and can drive a golf ball 350yds. TAM sucks. Go Sooners,Horns,Huskers and thats it.
10:29 am on September 10th, 2010
Jim Beam smart guy watch out with those squats you’re going to blow an O-ring. Actually it sounds like you already have. Look people one dumbbell can lift a whole bunch of dumbbells and do it while speaking gibberish, baby talk, drunk talk, and slang. If that’s not impressive he can do it while adding or subtracting f : R -> Rn and putting a golf ball on street downhill.
You’re welcome for the freedom to be an idiot. You exercise the right which we have helped provide very well. Are you one of the Robinsons in the video?
No offense to any SFA players, fans, students or Alum. Aside from this play you and your team showed a great deal of courage and fortitude. For those SFA fans that I met this weekend and tailgated with us thank you for showing class. Best of luck with the rest of your season and winning the FCS.

SFA Good luck in defending your Southland Conference you should do very well

Rice you may want to do some research and read up on our 5 all male yell leaders. They’re yell leaders not cheerleaders. You will never go to another venue where you see 5 yell leaders controlling a crowd of 85,000 all yelling the same yells in unison. We have a variety of yells also rather than the one t.u. has “texas bites”, I mean “texas fight”. What does t.u.’s squad of 11 boys and 12 girls cheer-leading squad control? Nothing! It is always great when first time visitors, opposing team players and coaches alike stare in “Awe” of what takes place at Kyle Field on game day. It is quite funny and satisfying.
Here is something to chew on:
In 2004, CBS SportsLine.com ranked Kyle Field the top football stadium while Sporting News ranked it fourth. The same year Sports Illustrated on Campus ranked an A&M football weekend the third best college football experience.
Further more the longhorn mascot “Bevo” and your one tradition was named Bevo because of Texas A&M. Guess what he is also cared for by the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. The reason Bevo is always a perfectly bread longhorn in stature and color is because of the work done by geneticist of the Texas A&M College of Agriculture and Animal Sciences. Don’t believe me research it. Basically what I am telling you is, your tradition of Bevo is the responsibility of Texas A&M!
