Tom Osborne was not the first person who came up with this play. My high school in Wisconsin used this play during the 60's and 70's to full advantage. We didn't used very much at all, but when we did, it always went for a touchdown.

Tom Osborne of Nebraska was the person who first came up with this play. The play was not used against OU it was first used by Nebraska in the 1983 Orange Bowl against Miami. Neb lost 31-30 in what is regarded as the most exciting bowl game of all time.

This play has been around for years. & well played by the refs on making the right call. Don't hear that often these days!

How is this fair to the defense at all? With refs these days throwing flags at the slightest unsportsmanlikes and the fact that the WO is completely unprepared to be tackled and thus at high risk for injury, unless you know the exact play being run you can't expect anyone on D to make that tackle before the pass.

As an alumnus of the High School, I'm not sure whether to be proud or ashamed. At least it wasn't late in the game.

I'm sure the assholes who make the rules at all levels of football will outlaw this play posthaste, because it "isn't fair" to the defense or some such bullsh*t.
