Though two years too late, El Paso ABC affiliate KVIA-TV recently sent a reporter to Bolivia to profile former UTEP hoops hottie Claudia Lampe Porras.
We first featured Claudia in early 2008 when she was still playing for the Miners. She’s since returned to her modeling career in Bolivia after a two year stint at UTEP and one year of pro hoops in Denmark. She’s also currently a member of the Bolivian National Team.
The more I think about it, the more I’m considering starting a campaign to get a WNBA team to give her a tryout. She’s 6-2, a legit baller and obviously would bring other qualities to a squad.
Think about the players already on the end of WNBA benches. If Claudia can remain upright and continent on the court, there’s no reason a team shouldn’t sign her.

If anyone in the WNBA has a brain they’d drop big money to bring her into the league. Her package combined with Parker could actually make the Sparks a draw here in LA for someone other than lesbians and feminists. It would be entertaining to see how the Lesbianocracy and Title IX pimps would respond.
