One day after a 17-year-old fan ran onto the field at Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park during a Phillies-Cardinals game, a 34-year-old man invaded the playing surface of the two teams last night.
During the ninth inning of the game, the 34-year-old jumped over a fence and walked along the warning track while waving his arms to the crowd. He eventually gave himself up to police.
Philly.com reports that throughout the incident, fans at the ballpark chanted, “Tase him, Tase him.”
The BUCKS COUNTY (PA) COURIER-TIMES reports that unlike the teenager on Monday, the Warminster (PA) man was apprehended without being Tased. The man was charged with “defiant trespass, disorderly conduct and narcotics possession.”
An email tipster informed me this morning that the field trespasser is a DJ in Philly who calls himself ‘The Thorobred’ and tipped his Twitter followers to his distinctly illegal antics with an infamous last Tweet.
