Michael McCarthy of USA Today reports that EA Sports is apparently unwavering in its support of Tiger Woods.
(Woods may have performed miracle in saving gaming deal)
EA is expected to confirm today that it’s moving forward with this month’s scheduled rollout of Tiger Woods PGA TOUR Online, a browser-based golf game that’s been in development for the last year.
The online game, envisioned as one of EA’s first forays into the expanding market of online gaming, is supposed to offer a console-like gaming experience for a subscription fee
“Our sponsorship of Tiger Woods has been the subject of a deep internal discussion over the holiday,” said David Tinson, a spokesman for EA Sports, in a statement to USA TODAY. “We expect to make an announcement shortly.”
Actually, the company’s reported decision to continue with Woods as the face of its signature golf game might be as much a commentary on the low profile of other golfers as it is support of Woods.
Still no confirmation of the Tiger Woods ‘11 game, perhaps that info will come from EA Sports later today.

You’d be a fool, like Gatorade, if you dropped Tiger. If Tiger came out and said the Gatorade he drank increased his stamina, their sales/revenues would increase 10 fold. If Tiger allegedly had all these women, what gave him the energy to keep up with them? Gatorade! Men would start buying gatorade off the shelves in bulk
