Here’s some photos of the black helmets worn today by the Georgia Bulldogs against Florida in Jacksonville. The team actually warmed up before the game in its traditional red lids, but then busted out black for the first time in school history.
(Why is Florida playing Grambling?)
As an alumnus of UGA, I’m not too keen on the change. Suppose it was done for merch and recruiting, but based on the reax I’ve seen, people aren’t all that excited about it.
Knowing how things work in Athens, if Georgia wins today, they’ll break them out again at some point. Loss? Never see them again in our lifetime.

I love white helmets. i.e. Jets, Chargers, old Bills, etc.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Florida does play Grambling at some point. They’ve already scheduled the likes of Charleston Southern and Florida International this season.

What an ass kicking. As a Dawg fan I never want to see them again. Burn them.

Thought it was Grambling and the team got lost on it’s way. Unfortunately Grambling may have given Fla a better game…
