NESN is planning a reality dating show, “Sox Appeal”, that will be shot at Red Sox games at Fenway Park during next season. The ten-episode series will debut in July.
Similar to cheesy dating programs like “Elimidate”, the show will follow one dater through three, two-inning long dates.
During the seventh-inning stretch, the dater must decide who to invite to sit next to them for the rest of the game.
Odds-on favorite for the first on-screen couple: Red Sox Manager Terry Francona and team GM Theo Epstein.

It’s an easy call for dater Francona, since last season he was often forced into inviting Red Sox starting pitchers during the seventh-inning stretch to sit next to him for the rest of the game.
