LAW-BREAKING LOUISVILLE LB LOUSES UP 2ND CHANCE: Former fab football recruit Willie Williams just can’t stay out of trouble:
The LOUISVILLE (KY) COURIER-JOURNAL reports that the law-breaking linebacker has been kicked off of the U of L football team, after he was arrested for drug possesion and driving without a license.
Williams was stopped by Louisville police Wednesday night after failing to pull over. An officer approaching the car door discovered Willie chewing on marijuana, and a follow-up search found more mary jane in the glove compartment.
It was just the latest brush with the law for Williams, the former Miami Hurricane hopeful who previously racked up 11 arrests - and that was even before he set foot in Coral Gables.
Louisville AD Tom Jurich said he was “very disappointed” about Williams’ arrest, but added, “We wish Willie the best and hope that he can learn from his mistakes and move forward in his life.”
Based on his track record, that doesn’t seem likely.
