FSN Wisconsin reporter Trenni Kusnierek made some headlines earlier this summer when she called out Erin Andrews for what she thought was inappropriate clothing when Andrews was covering a Brewers-Cubs game in Milwaukee. Most dismissed it as jealousy, as Andrews is a national obsession (of college dudes anyway) while Kusnierek was toiling away in Milwaukee covering the Brewers. To this point, she been most notable in these parts for surviving an earthquake.

But Trenni is perhaps on her way into the national spotlight as well, as she’s been hired as a reporter by the fledgling MLB Network. By the sounds of it, though, it seems Trenni isn’t going to be hiking up her skirt anytime soon, based on her verbal beatdown of Andrews over the summer:

“I know what all the guys out there are going to say: ‘Trenni is just being catty because she’s jealous.’ Trust me when I say I’m not. Erin is a beautiful girl with a body I’d kill for. I know she’s hotter than me. But she’d still be better-looking in a professional outfit, not just in glorified lingerie. As a female in the same business, I wish she’d realize how damaging it is to an entire gender when she carries herself in that manner. It sets us all back to a time where female sports reporters were all seen as husband-hunters who were only in the business to catch a cheap glance.”

Here are a couple of examples that Trenni may be referring to. Strangely, Erin wore both of these outfits while covering the Cubs. Someone has a crush on Lou Piniella!

Personally, I’m interested what Trenni has to say about her new MLB Network co-worker, Hazel Mae, who wasn’t exactly well known for dressing modestly while covering the Red Sox for NESN:

Kusnierek’s niche seems to be pulling off the casual-yet-studious look, and she does it well:

One wonders if MLB Network will encourage her to take wardrobe cues from her new colleague, or keep doing her own thing.
