TOCCHET DEALT THE RIVER BEFORE GETTING SENT DOWN IT: You can’t keep Wayne Gretzky’s wife, Janet Jones, and Rick Tocchet down. Don’t even try. Jones and Tocchet, who were in the middle of a sports betting scandal that flung diarrhea in the direction of The Great One, are entered in the World Series of Poker.

The LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL reports “Tocchet’s name appears among those who survived the first round of the WSOP’s $10,000 buy-in, no-limit Texas hold ‘em main event at the Rio. Jones played on Friday, the first day, but was eliminated midway through the day.”

In case you forgot, Tocchet, who allegedly helped Jones wager $500,000(!) on NFL games, “pleaded guilty May 25 to conspiracy and promoting gambling (running a sports gambling ring). His sentencing hearing is scheduled for Aug. 17. He faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.”

What a great way to show the judge, before sentencing, that you’re a changed man!
