Here are photos of an actual Tiger Woods-themed Mardi Gras float that might be the coolest thing I’ve ever seen.
It was produced by a talented 10-person team assembled by Richard Valadie of the New Orleans floatbuilding company Royal Artists. The float made its one and only appearance at a Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans last Friday.
The photos were taken by Tess Conrad on Friday evening and sent to me last night.
Case you’re wondering, the float will not be shown again. The structure will soon be whitewashed and transformed into another piece of art for the parade next year.
If we’ve got two damn reality shows on dudes who bake cakes, I think we can fit in one reality offering featuring float builders like these guys.
Amazing stuff. Congratulations to those fine folks.
