A Las Vegas-based source told me today that Tiger Woods’ annual charity concert in Vegas, called Tiger Jam, has been officially canceled.
The 11-year event, which regularly sold out the 12,000 seat Mandalay Bay Events Center and has featured A-list acts No Doubt, Bon Jovi, The Eagles, Stevie Wonder, Sting, Christina Aguilera and Van Halen, has raised millions for the Tiger Woods Foundation.
When pressed on the reason for the cancellation, my source said, “think about it, do you think it’s a good idea right now for Tiger Woods to be raising money for charity in Vegas?”
Another example of the collateral damage done by Woods. His annual show was one of the highlights, if not the highlight on the Vegas concert calendar.
With the loss of millions in revenue from the concert series and the bad news about the golfer showing no signs of slowing, you wonder about the viability of Woods’ charity foundation going forward.

We know that. But as you’ve pointed out, what these recent revelations have done, is to confirm what so many of us had already come to realize well before … that Tiger Wood’s “greatness” as a golfer, is in sharp contrast to his “lack of greatness” as a person. Tiger didn’t bulk up just from pumping iron. He was on some sort of juice the past few years. He didn’t have that rage in the beinging of his career when he was not bulked-up.
I believe it’s his steriod use that he’s trying to hide from PGA by staying out of golf unit it clears his system. He could care less about “saving” his marriage.

Tiger, unlike his friends who excelled in sports like basketball or tennis or football, is dug into the golf world. His friends can be more forgiven for their infidelities because their game is so drenched with this behavior.
Golf is a game of silence (at least until the ball is hit).
There is a different pattern of behavior expected from the great players of the game. Simple patterns of courtesy, respect, patience and concern for values. These patterns carry over into their personal life.
If the galleries of fans in golf are disappointed to discover that their idol is anything but exemplarary to these values, then there is an outcry. It is not an invasion of privacy, because he gave that up by being a great player of the game.

Common sense would have told his wife that things were amiss years ago, she had to suspected that other” women things” were happening.. a women knows, most of all especially when there are children in the family. It is human nature…. In reading the range of comments. brings to bear..some important fact’s of life…money corrupts, parents like Tigers who demand excellance from an early age can mess them up mentally forever. He has been a great golfer, but he has done many unforgivable thing’s, and now it is time to pay the piper..best he forgets about playing golf. I think he would be best to visit VA hospitials, that is where the real Heros of this country are.
