Yesterday three banners were towed by a plane above Augusta National Golf Club during The Masters mocking Tiger Woods. I’ve learned that three more aerial signs are scheduled for Friday.

The FAA has confirmed that it has no jurisdiction over the content of the banners, nor does the golf club. The only restrictions on the banners are that they are flown from above 2,500 feet and beyond two miles from the course itself.
All three Augusta-area airports have denied hosting the plane towing the banner, but I have located the airstrip that is providing the runway for the aircraft.
The airport hosting the plane flying the banners is thirty miles north of Augusta, in Trenton, SC at the Edgefield County Airport.
No word (yet) if Augusta National Golf Club officials have attempted to “persuade” the airport operators to block the plane towing the banners from taking off and landing today.TMZ.com reports early Tuesday that one of the banners scheduled to be towed today will read, “You knew Steve, you knew.”

I wouldn’t waste my time or money with stupid banners like that.
But I am glad we live in a country where doing that won’t get you shot out of the sky.
Also, why would they try to get the county airport (public) to stop someone from expressing their free speech?

Enough is enough. By towing these signs the way they have whoever did it has now become a public entity, just like Tiger and every other star. They are open to the same private scrutiny and public disclosure all the stars are. Here you go popers and newsmen,i.e. tabloid reporters.You want a story that ” I ” would find enjoyable. Look into the lives of all those playing this, not so fun. game. Put their lives up in the sky, or at the least, open their lives up to the public domain of the news stand. I’d bet that if they had their mistakes spread across the world as they would do to Tiger and others, they wouldn’t be so pompous and willing to do it to others.
