The PHILADELPHIA DAILY NEWS reports that as of Wednesday, there were “close to 1,700 tickets available” on the internet ticket exchange (see ticket brokers) for the Cowboys-Seahawks and Giants-Eagles NFC Wild Card games this weekend.
Prices for the Giants-Eagles game ranged from $150 for standing room to $900 for a midfield seat.
600 tickets are available for the two AFC Wild Card games and prices are expected to plummet 15-20% or more today, and continue downward up until game time (sounds like my recent stock picks!).
Along with the unattractive matchups, the NEW YORK TIMES uncovers some clues on why the Birds vs. Blue game doesn’t have fans clamoring for admittance.
Michael Martocci, who helps run Big Blue Travel in Manhattan, which arranged a bus trip for 72 Giants fans to last week’s Eagles game in Philly, this week told the New York daily: “Every year, the abuse we take from those animals in Philadelphia gets worse and worse. I’m seriously considering having two armed guards sit with us next year.“
