Taylor Bradford Memphis Player Murdered Classes Canceled

EYEWITNESS NEWS MEMPHIS reports that Victor Trezevant, Courtney Washington, and Daeshawn Tate were brought in Sunday as suspects in the murder of Taylor Bradford. None of the three are University of Memphis students.

Police believe the suspects had targeted Bradford for a robbery attempt, thinking that the Memphis lineman had money or valuables with him. On September 30, Bradford was shot while driving around the campus, crashing his car into a tree after being hit. He was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The campus was placed on lockdown after the shooting, and next day’s classes were cancelled. However, Memphis’ game against Marshall went on as scheduled on Tuesday, with the Tigers honoring their fallen teammate with a 24-21 win.
