The Latest Team To Ruin Your Bracket? Davidson

In the Men’s bracket, everywhere you look, some team is seizing the opportunity to come from behind. Surely Bill Belichick, inspired by Florida’s showing at the NIT last night, took note of some of the action on the court as well.

Tenth-seeded Davidson shocked Georgetown this afternoon. The Hoyas were one of the teams that appeared in that new Jordan brand ad. No Cinderellas? The Wildcats beg to differ.

  • In other Wildcat news, Villanova will also be playing next weekend; they held on to beat Siena.
  • Two-seeds Texas and Tennessee took care of business, though Tennessee needed OT to do so.
  • Western Kentucky took care of San Diego to get their regional semifinal berth, their first trip in 15 years.

And finally, we have Claudia Porras’ UTEP Miners to look foward to next weekend as well.

Claudia had 8 points and 3 blocks in 17 minutes of play as UTEP prevailed last night, and her fellow Miners will ride along into the Sweet Sixteen.
