The CANADIAN PRESS reports the Canadian Baseball League "has decided to ’suspend’ its season following its all-star game July 23, buckling under a business plan that was flawed from the get-go."

Sparse attendance was the major problem for the league since it began play May 21. The London, Ontario club was regularly playing games in front of crowds of 50 people.

With the London franchise regularly outdrawing Montreal and Toronto, I’m surprised they’re shuttering the operation.
