The BBC reports a 16-year-old fan of a British pro soccer team has been banned "for life" from attending games at his favorite team’s home stadium by the owner of the club.
David Maclean is a teenage season ticket holder for the Darlington soccer squad and also runs a fan magazine called "Where’s The Money Gone?" The mag has been critical of the club’s management and on-field performance. Darlington’s owner George Reynolds had MacLean forcibly removed from the team’s home ground on Saturday, claiming he had "incited fans" against him.
More from Reynolds: "Mr. MacLean has adopted a vindictive, hostile and malicious campaign against Darlington Football Club, its officers, players and myself as chairman. Matters have come to a head and accordingly I notified Mr MacLean that he was no longer welcome at the club and told him, that should he choose to ignore the ban he would be escorted from the ground."
Sixteen years old…You go Dave!
