Tatum Bell Packs His (Or Your) Bags For Denver

Tatum Bell can stop pestering the Four Seasons Hotel for a front desk job, as the out-of-work NFL RB and baggage mishandler has been brought back to the Broncos.

The ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS reports that Denver re-signed their one-time rusher on Tuesday, in an effort to bring a little stability to a Broncos backfield bothered by injuries. Tatum returns to the Mile High City once again over a year after he was traded to Detroit.

But if the Broncos give Bell the boot once again, Mike Shanahan better make sure his Samsomites are safe.

As you recall, Tatum was moved out of the Motor City last September, and on his way out decided to depart with a parting gift - Rudi Johnson’s luggage. Oh, sure, it was a major controversy at the time, but now we can look back and laugh. In fact, I believe Tatum’s Bad Bell-Boy performance was responsible for two of the greatest contributions to professional football this year - the way-overdue removal of Matt Millen from the Lions’ front office, and Roy Williams’ hilarious Halloween get-up.

And let’s not forget the comedic goldmine of luggage-theft jokes sure to be heard on “Sports Soup” for years to come. (At least, I assume “Sports Soup” would make Tatum Bell luggage jokes, since I never watch the show myself.)

Hey, if Cedric Benson can find football employment once again, why not take back Tatum? Besides, stealing luggage is just as entertaining as BWI’s - boating while intoxicated.

It's great to see Tatum getting a second chance to…hey, where's my suitcase?

It's even greater to see that Tatum Bell will be ridiculed for the rest of his career. Give up the dream, Tatum.

The Broncos might have to worry about Tatum's emotional baggage. But it's not his - he stole it from someone else.

Looks like the other Broncos will be getting padlocks for their Invesco Field lockers.

It's good to see Tatum Bell given a second chance. He shouldn't have to be punished the rest of his career for one little mistake.
