Girls Soccer Resumes The Brawling, Hair Pulling
On the means streets of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, the girls soccer players will throw down on a moment’s notice if you’re wearing the wrong colors. Such was the case at the Rhode Island division IV state high school championships on Sunday, as rivals Woonsocket and Tolman engaged in a benches-clearing brawl, with the requisite hair pulling and face punching that has become all the rage in women’s soccer these days. Also, fisticuffs in the stands.
Notice in the video below how the referee rushes to the scene in an apparent attempt to break up the fight, then wants no part of touching anyone. I wouldn’t jump into that scrum either.
Video following the jump.
