University of Alabama-Birmingham senior basketball star Robert Vaden had an up-and-down Saturday. The good news: he was named Preseason Player of the Year by the Conference USA’s coaches. The bad news: he was arrested on Saturday morning in Bloomington, IN on charges of public intoxication.

• JOE SPORTS FAN feels their hearts racing after checking out this NASCAR dating site.
