It’s been quite the week for reconsidering legal action. Earlier, the woman who wanted a restraining order against Randy Moss chose to cancel her charges. And now, the BOSTON GLOBE reports that a lawsuit over New England’s Super Bowl XXXVI victory has been dropped.

Last month, a group of fans along with ex-St. Louis Ram Willie Gary filed the $36 million lawsuit, claiming the Patriots committed “fraud, racketeering and breach of contract” by secretly taping a Rams pre-game walkthrough.

Watch where you sit around Matt Walsh. The BOSTON GLOBE unearths a saddlesore story from the college days of the ex-Pats employee turned videotape informant.

In 1995, Walsh was a student at Springfield College, where he was also a member of the school’s golf team. However, his collegiate career was cut short when he was accused of slicing his roommate’s girlfriend - with a booby-trapped blender blade: Read more…

What delicious irony: The NEW YORK POST’s PAGE SIX sneaks out word that a Manhattan restaurant has been secretly videotaping its customers - such as New England QB Tom Brady.

The Chinese eatery Philippe admits they have cameras installed in their private rooms. But they say the filming’s for security purposes, as a to keep an eye on the expensive wine bottles stored in the rooms.
But one insider told Page Six that after some of the privates parties, restaurant employees would view the footage, and they weren’t just monitoring the Merlots: Read more…

• Manny Ramirez sox it to his agent, then gets on board with Boras.
• ‘Love Boat’ louse & ex-Hurricane Bryant McKinnie blows into Miami, causing a seastorm of spitting & obscenities outside a nightclub.

The SAN DIEGO UNION-TRIBUNE reports on a YAHOO story that says the Denver Broncos had secretly videotaped San Diego Chargers practices.

The Yahoo article by Jason Cole stated that the Chargers “increased their security ’several years ago’ during weeks in which they played the Broncos because Denver spies were videotaping Chargers practices.”

The NEW YORK TIMES reports that new allegations of Bill Belichick & the Patriots secretly videotaping opponents have surfaced.

This time, a former New England player (who wishes to remain anonymous) says Belichick was recording other teams’ signals throughout the 2000 preseason - Bill’s first year in Foxboro - and tried to use the information in the season opener against Tampa Bay.
But Mike Florio of PRO FOOTBALL TALK begs to differ that these brand-new accusations are actually “new”. Read more…
