NIU Back On Court For 1st Time Since Shootings
Northern Illinois University tries to return to some normalcy tonight, as the men’s basketball team hosts Western Michigan.

It will be the first game the Huskies will play since the Feb. 14 classroom shooting that left five students dead. Other sporting events have been rescheduled or canceled altogether.
In a show of support to the school, the Chicago White Sox will be wearing NIU caps when they begin their spring training schedule on Wednesday against Colorado. After the game, players will autograph and send the caps back to DeKalb, where they’ll be auctioned off. The money raised will go toward scholarships established in memory of the shooting victims.
