Tiger Blog Post: ‘Family’ Mention Leaves Out Elin

Tiger Woods posted a blog entry today on his official website that gives his version of what he’s been up to since The Masters. It’s the first somewhat candid blog entry by Woods since his Thanksgiving car accident. (Designed to combat tabloid reports about his family’s activities?)

Tiger Woods Blog Post: Family Reference Doesn't Include Elin

In the post, Woods addresses his strong language at The Masters, congratulates Phil Mickelson for winning the tournament. (Finally). He also notes a recent round of golf at Isleworth in which he shot 63 but was apparently not joined by Michael Jordan and Fred Couples. RadarOnline.com posted photos yesterday that it claimed showed Woods, Jordan and Couples playing golf at Isleworth on last Tuesday.

The most interesting part of the blog entry though was Woods recounting his recent “family” time. Read more…

The document - police dispatch notes - details that the investigation centers on possible domestic violence between Tiger and his wife taking place in front of their young children. Using police code, it also spells out that a unknown weapon may have been involved. A source close to the situation told RadarOnline.com that the weapon is a golf club.

TMZ: Child Services Visit Came After “Complaint”

TMZ.com has an anon-sourced follow on the allegation that officials from Florida’s state child and family protection agency visited Tiger Woods home with a police escort Saturday.

A representative from the Department (DCF) went to Tiger Woods’ home Friday for a “well-being check.” The official says the Department received a complaint — though we do not who it was from or the nature of the complaint. The Department then got in touch with the Orange County Sheriff to help get through security at Tiger’s gated community.

We’re told the visit was not part of an investigation, but rather a routine procedure when a complaint is lodged. The Department not only evaluates the safety of the children but the adults in the house as well. A formal investigation has not been opened — the case is being evaluated.

What we still don’t know is what prompted the complaint, and when it was lodged. Read more…

Claim: FL Child Protective Dept. Visited Tiger Home

RadarOnline.com alleged today that on Saturday, “the Florida Department of Children and Families, escorted by police, visited Tiger Woods’ home. … The visit stems from the events leading up to Tiger’s bizarre one-car crash right after Thanksgiving.

A marked police car escorted an unmarked car to Tiger’s house around midday Saturday. Typically investigators from DCF would want to evaluate the safety of a home for children after a domestic violence incident.

Woods and wife Elin Nordegren have a two-year-old daughter Sam and 10-month-old son Charlie.

Noted in Radar’s claim,  “Officials were at the home for roughly an hour”

The site also reports there is no confirmation that Tiger Woods was present for the DCF visit. Read more…
