6 News in Indianapolis, via YouBeenBlinded.com, reports that Ron Artest and his sister, 36-year-old Latoya Holmes-Ivey, “are at the center of a welfare fraud investigation.”

Police and housing authorities raided the home and her three children rent at 336 E. Burgess Ave. Wednesday morning.

Artest’s sister reportedly received up to $34,000 in “taxpayer-supported rent assistance” because she claimed no income. But investigators indicated she was also allegedly receiving money from Artest for all of her bills.

Most importantly, Artest was allegedly behind the scheme, directing his sister to apply for federal assistance. Read more…

Nightmare loss for the Lakers last night, as the Rockets took down Kobe & Co. @ Staples thanks to the offense of Aaron Brooks, Chase Buddinger and David Anderson and former Laker Trevor Ariza locking down a injury-plagued Bryant like no one has in recent memory.

I was at the Lakers-Suns game last night. Sat right behind George Lopez. Saw Ray Liotta (cheer), Jesse Jackson (boo), David Geffen, Jack, Steve Kerr. You’ll be happy to know Khloe was once again buried behind basket opposite Lakers bench. Best part: Tex Winter is back permanently, stationed behind Phil & Co.

This happened about 15 feet from us, Nash gets dinged by Violet Palmer for fouling Derek Fisher on a 3-ball.

I can confirm via the eyeball test that the Suns are a fraud. Prediction: Nash be traded at some point this season. Or after the season. He has no chance to win anything with that team, regardless of their record at the moment.  Read more…
