Olympic swimming is tough work. While it may look like the swimmers are just gliding with ease, it’s really an complex weave of muscles, bones and emotions smashing into each other. And this year, while records fall left and right for a variety of reasons, sometimes swimmers need an extra push. For Michael Phelps, that push includes eating 12,000 calories a day!
