Last week’s terrorist attack at the Oberoi Trident Hotel in Mumbai, India was a horrible tragedy that cost 195 people their lives. Among the victims were some Americans being specifically targeted by the terrorists. The terrorists would ask to see hotel guests passports, and if those guests were unfortunate enough to show them an American passport, they were killed.
Of course, even though too many people lost their lives during those hellish days inside the hotel, there were quite a few who did manage to escape & make their way back to the States in recent days. One of those survivors was Northwest Airlines flight attendant Darryl Jones, who spent a couple of days hidden inside a hotel room with another hotel guest. Part of the reason Jones made it through the two days was help he received from a friend: the Boston Celtics’ Ray Allen.
