The ATLANTA BUSINESS CHRONICLE notes that Atlanta-based animation studio Dagnabit is "searching for the worst team in professional sports to bear its name."
Dagnabit Animation Director John Ryan: "It’s an underserved area. All the other companies are fighting over the winning teams. … A bad team in an obscure sport would be ideal."
I nominate the Bengals. If anybody has Mike Brown’s cell phone number laying around, send it over and I’ll forward it to Mr. Ryan.
Who else should they consider?

FORBES provides some food for thought for anyone foolish enough to invest themselves emotionally in the Los Angeles Clippers. Excerpt:
"The Clippers last year had an operating profit of $16M, twice the league average. Owner Donald Sterling applies the same formula to pro basketball that he does to his day job: Buy cheap assets in rich neighborhoods, plow as little cash as possible into them, and hang on for the long haul. Who cares about winning if your original $12.5 investment is now worth $205M."
The worst owner in sports? You can make a case for Mike Brown in Cincy with the Bengals. Dan Snyder in DC. Bud and Wendy in Milwaukee. The Tribune Company’s Cubbies and Reinsdorf’s running of the Bulls and Chisox. The Dolan’s ruinous reign with the Rangers and Knicks. Work in Woolridge and Shinn in Orleans while you’re at it and how can we forget Cleveland’s Modell Hell?
But Scrooge Sterling takes the cake. He had a young, dynamic, potential playoff team on his hands and flushed it without blinking.
