Mark Walberg Gets His Undies In A Funky Bunch

‘MARKY MARK’ WAHLBERG GETS UNDIES IN A FUNKY BUNCH: Here’s an amusing video from 1991 featuring “Marky Mark” Wahlberg strutting it for an MTV Rock ‘n’ Jock basketball-based special:

Marky Mark Wahlber MTV Special Pants Down

You can tell it’s from the ’90s and not the MTV of today, since there seems to be actual music content.

About 2 minutes into this cinematic masterpiece, Marky decides to strip down to his briefs. He then hops around the court with his pants around his ankles, much to the delight of the ladies - and to the terror of everyone else.

Sporting News Host Reports Tommy Lasorda Probably Did Use Prostitution Service

SPORTING NEWS HOST - LASORDA PROBABLY PAID FOR SEX: Dave Smith of SPORTING NEWS radio said today that it appears Tommy Lasorda indeed utilized the services of “Secrets of a Hollywood SuperMadam” author Jody “Babydol” Gibson.

Smith: “You would have to think he did (use a prostitute supplied by Gibson). Did you read the LOS ANGELES TIMES this morning? Now he says he isn’t going to sue (after Lasorda initially indicated he would sue if the book was published) … bingo.

When it hits the fan, you would have to think, if Tommy were involved, you think this is the only time? Like the other side (in a court proceeding) isn’t going to dig up everything you’ve every done in your life right in front of your family? He needs to stop bringing it up and let it blow over.

Isn’t it interesting that no one sued Jose Canseco (over his book “Juiced”, which accused MLB players like Mark McGwire of using steroids)? Nobody’s going to sue Babydol either.

Ben Affleck, Sylvester Stallone, Mark Wahlberg, Gary Busey, movie producer Robert Evans and NBA player Robert Horry are also accused of using prostitutes in the book.

The BOSTON GLOBE reports that Affleck’s attorney Ken Sunshine is also threatening to file a lawsuit against Gibson. Right, sure he is.

The BUCKS COUNTY (PA) COURIER TIMES reports that a lesbian named Jodi Pollock, who attended the Phillies’ recent "Gay Community Night," was outraged because of an anti-homosexual banner at the game.
I’m surprised to see that no one picked up on the real story here: Pollock was the first Phils fans at Citizens Bank Park this season to be outraged at someone other The new Mark Wahlberg football movie "Invincible", according to critics and sports reporters, is less than convincing on numerous fronts *shock*.

Larry Stewart of the LOS ANGELES TIMES writes movie makers "always feels the need to tinker with the facts. … The final scene in the movie is only somewhat similar to what happened.

"And NFL Films footage from a real game against the [Giants] that is shown after the conclusion of the movie is misleading."

Lisa Rose of the NEWARK STAR-LEDGER reports that film leaves out major parts of Vince Papale’s background.

Papale actually "launched his career as a wide receiver with the Philadelphia Bell, part of the short-lived [WFL]. The film also neglects to mention his college days as a track star."

Terry Lawson of the DETROIT FREE PRESS reports that Papale being *discovered* by the Eagles in an open tryout is far from what really happened.

Then-Eagles GM Jim Murray spotted Papale while he was in the WFL, and Vermeil "took him on after arranging a private, look-see workout session arranged by Murray," which is not in the movie.

Eleanor Ringel Gillespie of the ATLANTA CONSTITUTION gives the film a "D+".

Gillespie: "Any movie that resorts to slo-mo sports action in the first 15 minutes (as this one does) has a problem. … If you want to see a really good inspirational movie about football, try ‘Remember the Titans.’ But if you want to see a movie about bad ‘70s hair and tiresome sports-movie clichés, ‘Invincible’ opens today."

And finally, Gary Thompson of the PHILADELPHIA DAILY NEWS writes the football scenes "might have worked even better if Wahlberg had looked more like an NFL football player."

Kind of like what we said weeks ago. (halfway down)

8/5/06 FAKE FOOTBALL FLICK FALLS SHORT: Augus…

8/5/06 FAKE FOOTBALL FLICK FALLS SHORT: August 25th the Disney feature film "Invincible" will be released, which somehow stars Mark Wahlberg as a 30-year-old bartender trying out for the Philadelphia Eagles.

The script is based on a Philadelphian named Vince Papale, who, despite a very small smattering of pro football experience, tried out for the Iggles in 1977 and made the team, playing three seasons.

Papale, in real life, was a tall, speedy speciman who immediately caught then-Eagles coach Dick Vermeil’s eye with his athleticism at an open tryout.

So if the film’s producers were going for authenticity, Wahlberg was an absurd cast, considering his advanced age (35) and Stallone-esque stature (5-7)

Tom Waring of the NORTHEAST TIMES confirms my early suspicions: "To make the actor (Wahlberg) look like an average-sized NFL player, movie producers hired actors who are much smaller than the characters they play.

"Thus, the actor who plays 6-foot-8 wide receiver Harold Carmichael is only 6-foot-1. The actors who play hulking linemen Stan Walters and Jerry Sisemore are much smaller than the typical offensive tackles."

For the past couple weeks, Wahlberg’s helmeted-head has been featured on an enormo billboard on Sunset Blvd. here in L.A., promoting the football flick.

Even on an advertisement the size of Serena Williams’ backside, Wahlberg’s head is so tiny in the helmet that he looks like belongs more at Pop Warner postgame pizza party than in a movie serious about documenting the life of a professional football player.

Could be worse though. Wahlberg could look like Sean Astin in "Rudy", who more resembled a wobbling, Miracle Whip jar with arms than a real-life Notre Dame football player.

DOUBLE FAULT: Dueling New York media reports on Anna K. wringing the waning moments out of her fifteen minutes.

Fresh off her underwhelming SI swimsuit issue appearance (why did SI list her in the "athletes" section?), the NEW YORK DAILY NEWS has Anna doffing Derek Jeter at a South Beach hotel last Tuesday - reporting they arrived and left together.

SECOND SERVE: Meanwhile, the NYP’s Page Six reports "Anna’s packing on the pounds" and recently "boozed it up" at a club in Las Vegas last weekend with Mark Wahlberg and - who else - Mickey "Trampoline Face" Rourke.

Shockingly, she left with Wahlberg.

WHO NEEDS ENEMIES? All this after boyfriend Enrique Iglesias recently gifted her a $100K "friendship ring."
