ERIN ANDREWS PROBABLY NOW OFF THE USF BANDWAGON: It’s a shame that the South Florida bandwagon derailed in Piscataway last Thursday. It’s bad enough that Jenn Sterger will probably stop coming to the games. What’s worse for the Bulls is that they’ve let down Erin Andrews:
Before Rutgers went and ruined it all, USF’s student paper THE ORACLE got a chance to turn the tables on Andrews, and interview the ESPN sideline sweetheart about the Bulls’ ride to stardom. When asked about all the attention, Erin described it as “very weird“. She mentioning how as a TV intern in Tampa, she would be working on USF football stories when the young program was still operating out of trailers.
And Erin gave a thumbs up to her employer, as she was quite happy the way ESPN showed her hometown during the Worldwide Leader’s coverage of South Florida’s big home win against West Virginia. You can excuse the Oracle interviewer for being a little nervous. He flubbed a couple of questions, and at the end, thanked Erin by calling her “Andrew”.
Sadly, Erin probably won’t be back on the sidelines at Raymond James Stadium all decked out in green ‘n’ gold - unless all the BCS top ten teams lose again.
