Saturday Mike Florio of NBC Sports and Pro Football Talk broke the news that up to two NFL player agents may have improperly gained entrance to the NFL combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

(Sexton and Dye, Jr. joined forces last November)
NFL rules prohibit NFL player agents from attending NFL combine activities in person.
In the Pro Football Talk report, at least one source indicated to Florio and PFT reporter Gregg Rosenthal that one of the agents had allegedly been, “cuffed, detained, and removed from Lucas Oil Stadium on Friday after using a sponsor’s credential to gain access.”
I’ve since learned from multiple sources the identities of two NFL player agents who improperly gained access to a restricted, players-only NFL combine area last weekend. Read more…

Alabama cleared their last hurdle to the SEC West championship game this weekend, dispatching LSU in a game that was every bit as ugly as you’d expect from two such defensive stalwarts of the SEC. How bad was it? Nick Saban lost his s**t a couple times, and his boys didn’t even lose the game.

(Well, he’s either really happy or really angry, and Saban has never been happy once in his life, sooo…)
So when a penalty killed Alabama’s decent shot at a go-ahead touchdown early in the 4th quarter, Nick Saban directed his ire at one of Alabama’s most recognizable players - wideout Julio Jones. Why is it worth watching? For the awkward “I’m so mad I could throw this damn thing but waitwaitwait this is expensive” headset-swinging that Saban engages in.
Video is after the break.

Admit it: You’re not quite the patriot you tell your parents you are. Sure, you’re registered and sometimes you watch CNN when they’re talking about politics, but you don’t really care about your right to vote, do you? Come on, don’t act like you’re the only one who votes for people with the funniest names and nobody else knows about it. And then there’s the write-in voting. Yes, writing in Jon Stewart is totally played out, but all in all, it’s just good, harmless fun, right?

(Oh, come on, really? This guy?)
Well, not at Alabama. The university just held its annual student elections, and among the litany of write-ins was star freshman wideout Julio Jones. That’s barely news; Hulk Hogan probably got a dozen votes for student president, after all. But as the TUSCALOOSA NEWS reports, this wasn’t just one or two votes for Jones - he garnered enough support to actually win a student senate seat.
So was this part of a plan by Jones to get elected via write-in? Um… no. Read more…
