Last Friday John Mayer played the Cleveland-area Blossom Music Center. For the encore, he hit the stage wearing a Cleveland Cavaliers jersey.
Mayer said while wearing the jersey, “Our last show of this tour (September 11 in Miami) I’m going to come out on stage wearing this in Miami.”
Cool! One small detail though. The show isn’t in Miami. Read more…
• THE DIRTY catches Bruce Pearl once again laying out with the ladies.
We expect nothing less from the man who was able to sneak a halftime hug with Erin Andrews.

Tony Romo, Dane Cook and John Mayer have something in common - all 3 have been honored as Fun Fearless Males by Cosmopolitan magazine.
Oh, and they’ve all gotten jiggy with Jessica Simpson.
The AP dishes out that Simpson’s current beau and two of her exes were among those at Cosmo’s awards luncheon on Monday. When it was Tony’s turn to talk at the podium, the Cowboys QB tried to explain just what made him so fun ‘n’ fearless. Read more…
Musician John Mayer, who broke up with Jessica Simpson about six months ago (what a lovely couple!), posts a message on his official website this week in response to the abuse Simpson has been taking from Cowboys fans since the team’s loss to the New York Giants in the NFL playoffs.
Mayer: “Dear Dallas and Surrounding Areas, I have never known anyone to have more pride in their home state and their upbringing in it than Jessica Simpson has in Texas. All witty barbs, blogs, and fashion policing aside, that girl loves Texas more than you know. It’s one of her most defining traits as a person. So please don’t try and take that away from her. (You probably wouldn’t be able to, but it’s less work for all involved.)“
Whew! We’re sure that’ll make Cowboys fans feel a hole lot better, knowing that Jessica Simpson loves Texas with all her heart *sniffle*. But if she loved Texas so much, why didn’t she take Tony Romo to lovely Galveston Beach during they bye week - instead of going south of the border?
Personally, we think this is merely a play by Mayer to land an endorsement with Whataburger.
