Tom Brady Sued Over Shooty Costa Rica Wedding

You may recall the Tom Brady-Gisele Bundchen wedding, v 2.0, this past April which featured an open bar, monkeys and intermittent gunplay. Two members of the paparazzi who hid in the jungle taking photos on the sly said that security guards hired by Brady tried to muscle them for their cameras, and then shot at them when they ran for it.

The photographers, Yuri Cortez and Carlos Avi, have filed a $1 million lawsuit against Brady and his bride over the incident. The claim that Brady hired a security force that wasn’t properly trained, and that the whole thing too closely resembled various scenes from “Romancing the Stone.” Anyway, here’s Brady’s reaction this morning:

When Your Fantasy Football Draft Ends In Gunplay

Perhaps only in Texas could a fantasy football draft end with guns blazing, two people in the hospital and Plaxico Burress chosen early in the second round. That last part is a writer’s embellishment, but it fits with the other activities that occurred early Sunday morning in Keller, Texas, when a dispute over noise at a fantasy football party ended with one neighbor shooting another.

Edward M. Stewart had gone to his back fence to complain to his neighbor, Ryan Roh, that his fantasy draft party was too loud. One thing led to another, and Roh jumped the fence to fight Stewart, and after some pushing, Stewart produced a gun and shot Roh in the abdomen. Oh, and the bullet also hit Stewart’s own wife in the leg. That’s why I’m participating in my draft online this year.

Cowboys Vs. Eagles Fan Dispute Turns All Shooty

A Dallas Cowboys fan who fired five rounds from a shotgun into a van containing Philadelphia Eagles fans in December was today found guilty of first- and second-degree assault, although he was acquitted of an attempted murder charge.

Meet 28-year old Damian Alexander, who had arranged to meet for a fistfight with an Eagles fan, Shane Austin Ratliff, whose girlfriend had been taunting him via text message. But when Ratliff showed up, Alexander had a shotgun. Apparently he had not been amused by his team’s 44-6 thrashing by the Eagles that day, and thought he could better express his dismay while heavily armed. Read more…

Plaxico Shoots Self In Leg; This Is Not A Metaphor

Plaxico Burress, who was listed as doubtful on the injury report for Sunday’s game, is probably not going to suit up now. He done shot hisself in the leg.

FOX SPORTS’ Jay Glazer, who’s quickly challenging John Clayton as the go-to guy for breaking NFL news, reports this morning that Burress accidentally shot himself in the leg Friday night. He spent the night in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and no details have been forthcoming from the Giants while they try to get to the bottom of this.
