Brett Favre is serious about coming back to play in the NFL. So serious, that he’s asked for his unconditional release from the Packers.

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports that the Favre’s agent James “Bus” Cook sent a letter that arrived at the Packers’ practice facility Friday morning. The letter apparently asked the team to release Brett from his contract, which still has three years and $39 million remaining.
