There’s really no good word to have in the same sentence as “rape.” Even “failed” indicates that one was going to take place, after all. But on the flip side, of all the words in the English language, few are worse to have in that context than “again.” That’s what they call criminal recidivism, and that’s where we find Dave Meggett, former New York Giant tailback and current sexual assault machine.
Meggett’s latest foray into sex crime (and according to the NEW YORK POST, there have been several) comes via North Charleston, S.C., where a 21-year-old woman (half Meggett’s age, mind you) told police that she awoke yesterday at 1 a.m. to find Meggett (whom she knew as “Mike”) sitting on her bed, demanding the $200 she owed him.
