WIKIPEDIA ENTRY REPORTS DANIELLE GAMBA DECEASED: Based on the less-than-reliable Wikipedia.org, Danielle Gamba (the former Raiders cheerleader turned nude model) in the past month has been married to Nick Swisher (top screenshot - from Google cache Feb. 17), and died on Friday (screenshot of 2/25/06 Wikipedia entry):

On Feb. 26, Gamba’s Wikipedia entry was completely erased except for this entry (2/26/07, 1AM ET) (screenshot below if entry erased in meantime):

I’ve got zero confirmation on any of this news. None of it has been reported anywhere, be it main media or blogs. It very well could all be a hoax.

SWISHER’S NEW (NUDE) DISH IS DANIELLE GAMBA: SbB has learned that Nick Swisher of the Oakland A’s is keeping busy this offseason by dating former Raiders cheerleader and nude model Danielle Gamba.

Swisher apparently also likes to keep busy during the season as well (see above), but now is preoccupied with Gamba, who was fired by the Raiders in 2003 after the club discovered she had posed for a porn site. She later went on to take it off for Playboy.com.

A source tells SbB Swisher spied Gamba “in a magazine”, saw that she was from the Bay Area and did what any self-respecting pro athlete would do - had his manager find her and set up a face-to-face.

The two are now inseparable and co-habitating in Arizona as the A’s get ready for Spring Training. Look for a piece in the SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE about them shortly.

One thing I’m guessing won’t come up in the story is that she was once cuffed and booked after making sexual advances to police who were questioning her about disrupting a flight from Denver to San Antonio (see ‘continually using the word F—‘).

On the lighter side, Gamba has her own website and apparently wants to pursue a career outside the porn business - witness her online resume, which makes no mention of her nude modeling credits. Nor are there any nudie pics on the site (just thought I’d warn you).
