UW-BYU Officiating Controversy Not Going Away

The Pac-10 probably hoped that all this hubbub over the end of Saturday’s  Washington-BYU game (read this if you’ve been living in a cave and don’t know what’s going on) would blow over and everyone would be more than happy to put it behind them and move on. But you don’t know Terry Bowden very well, do you Pac-10?

Bowden’s scathing criticism of the call brought the whole incident back into the limelight, then later in the day the Pac-10 officiating coordinator slyly threw the game’s referee under the proverbial bus.

Philjax Wants More Game 4 Officiating Clarification

The L.A. Lakers have a chance to close out this Western Conference playoff business tonight, but Phil Jackson still has a proverbial bone to pick with the officiating in Game 4 against the San Antonio Spurs. Remember, LA was the team who benefited from an incorrect call in that game.

The bee in Philjax’s bonnet came after the NBA refs acknowledged Derek Fisher should have been whistled for a foul on Brent Barry, since there was no mention of Fisher’s shot with 6.9 seconds left and whether or not it hit the rim. Read more…
