NBC 2 in San Diego, via DEADSPIN, reports today that “Jose Canseco pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor offense of trying to bring a fertility drug into the U.S. from Mexico. The former baseball slugger and admitted steroid user appeared in a federal courtroom Tuesday to face charges.”

Canseco was given a slap on the wrist by U.S. Magistrate Judge Ruben B. Brooks, as he was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation.
