LEINART FOLLOWING BRADY’S FOOTSTEPS IN CHILD CARE: Jut like fellow NFL quarterback Tom Brady, Matt Leinart enjoys spending time with his ex-girlfriend’s kid:
KABC-TV in L.A. follows up on the former USC Heisman winner visiting with son, Cole. The youngster was the result of liaisons between Leinart and current USC basketball player Brynn Cameron during his days on campus.Leinart laments being away from his offspring, telling the cameras, “I wish I could be there every day helping, but for my job, my career, it’s just tough. I don’t think I could do what she’s doing and do such a great job at it.”
With the Cardinals QB coughing up $15,000 a month in child support payments, Matt’s just making sure his money is well spent. He has to be more fiscally cautious nowadays, since selling his Arizona home to Amare Stoudamire at a $500,000 loss.

AGENT FIRED BY R. BUSH HIRED THE NEXT DAY BY LEINART: In what Liz Mullen of SPORTS BUSINESS DAILY calls “a stunning turn of events, agent Mike Ornstein has signed a marketing agreement with Cardinals QB Matt Leinart, a day after confirming that he was fired by Leinart’s former college teammate at USC, Saints RB Reggie Bush.”
Ornstein’s “The Sports Link” is now the third marketing outfit Leinart has been associated with. #11 had previously left his original marketing rep, Creative Artists Agency, for CSMG - but never finalized a deal with the latter firm.Chuck Price, Leinart’s football agent said Thursday that “Leinart sought out and received Bush’s blessing before signing with Ornstein.”
Some people may be perplexed about Leinart’s decision, but it all makes sense to us. Until he lands he finds someone to land him that Trojan condoms endorsement bonanza, Brynn’s baby-daddy won’t rest. Our favorite part of all this? The tug of war involves a convicted felon. Ornstein pleaded guilty in 1995 to mail fraud for his role in a scheme to defraud the NFL.
