What’s a bigger waste then printing 14,000 University of Georgia football media guides? Trashing 14,000 University of Georgia football media guides because of two inaccurate pages.
Tim Tucker of the ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION reports today that the school, “plans to reprint about 14,000 football media guides to replace references to ousted athletics director Damon Evans. The Bulldogs’ annual media guide, which is distributed to donors and recruits as well as the media, was printed shortly before Evans’ June 30 DUI arrest and subsequent resignation.”
Longtime Georgia SID Claude Felton told Tucker that two pages referencing Evans will be changed and that he didn’t know how much the reprint would cost. (Right, wonder if the printers do?!)
Evans’ name will be removed from the athletic-director line in the “general information” section on page 2. And Evans’ bio on page 207 will be replaced with one of Crumley, who was named last week as the interim athletics director.
Felton said there were approximately 21,000 media guides in the original printing, with apparently 7,000 already distributed to donors, media and recruits.
